I feel so sorry for that poor guy. I used to drive HGV1s and coaches. With the artics, I had a couple of near disasters, too. It’s one thing to take your test in a nice test-taking place. In the real world you can get sent out, without being forewarned about the noose you are about to shove your neck into. I quickly learned never to take an artic anywhere without first asking another one if he’d been there already.

the car was legally parked so why would they move it? truck driver could clearly see he couldnt make the turn so shouldnt have even attempted it. im a coach driver so i know how hard some corners are but if they look like i wont make it then i wont turn that way its simple

People seem to be missing the fact that the driver got himself in that pickle. Look at the trailer tyre marks. He quite clearly tried to do a U turn where there wasn't room. Got stuck then made a pigs ear trying to recover it. Flattening a load of cycles in the process. If he was a decent driver he wouldn't have got himself in that position in the first place.

Surely, surely the police should have cleared the area behind the lorry ? How can people not know that you don't help anyone at all to concentrate not knocking over someone, (whose decided the best place to position themselves is on the pavement, in the glare of a lorry's reversing light), when they are pointing a mobile 'phone at them ? Have these people got nothing more urgent to do than to capitalize on another's difficulty ? It's interesting, of course; but at the time the best thing to do is to be discreet, and move on, if nobody needs assistance; not shamelessly to gloat, in the middle of the street, demonsting delight at anothers distress. Enjoying an opportunistic thrill should be felt to be demeaning.

Dont know if you live in england but they drive on the left the driver was turning right onto the left lane the trailer then clipped the fence or something ane because the trailer was far to the right if he was to go forwards the lorry would of hit the astra and the trailer would of hit the signs on the road if not the astra and if he was to jacknife the trailer that wouldnt do anything as he would have the same problem as nie the trailer will clip the signs and theres a bus stop on the side walk theres your answer
