AK Channel News I like the first idea, but knowing josh and his recent opinions or choices on the recent adidas ranges, he will probably say that the nemesiz 17.1 is an overall better performing shoe in his opinion, as it provides better lockdown and responsiveness than the 17+, and the laces provide a much better fit. He'll also probably mention that the 17+ isn't the best value at all and considering the better performance from the 17.1 the 17+ doesn't have a lot of value considering the price and how many other shoes can provide much better performance in that price range or even less, with the 17.1 being cheaper and better-performing. Also, if you absolutely need to get a lace less shoe then the 17+ are probably the best ones out there. The comparison between the ".1" line from adidas though would be interesting.

Just picked these up in the clearance section at Dick's here in AZ for the new season... $20.00. That's $20. Thank you for your shopping series as I've been to every outlet and clearance store in my area and a big box store ended up being the best. Not the best ever but certainly worth $20.

Because you have showed your T90 collection in a recent video and I must say that those boots were made with more "love and useful technology". I recently sold all my Nike/adidas boots and now am pursuing an all-Mizuno collection. I am more happy with their overall quality, fit, and fairly simple no-nonsense technologies. So, yeah, I think all Nike and adidas are doing are pure gimmicks.

Hi Josh this model(X17.1) is a big disappointment for me as I expected them to change alot and as it is marketed as a speed boot I think Adidas need to make more responsive and aggressive sole plate like the Vapor 11

I definitely prefer some of the older stuff. I'm not sure about a specific year being the best for the Adidas brand, but they've definitely had some excellent boots over the years.

Is this right? A more responsive boot like the Mercurial Vapor 11, will allow you to push off more effectively and change direction faster than something with a wider fit, for a narrow footed player. I feel there is a significant performance benefit...

It's hard to say that you will legitimately be faster or be put at an advantage because you have more responsive boots on your feet. With that said, the feel and experience of two very different boots like that will be very noticeable.

Hey Josh, right now, I have the Nike Mercurial Vapor 11s and I'm not too happy with them. The overall thin build of them really doesn't work for me, I have bone-y feet. I'm looking for a pair of boots that aren't as flimsy, yet still have good control. Would you recommend these boots? Or maybe even the 16.1s if I'm on a budget? Or a different boot entirely? Drew Bealby the 16.1 feels like a box of tissues in your feet, wouldn't really recommend it, try and look for adidas x 15.1, great comfort, lightweight, and good protection

It's definitely a much thicker upper in comparison to the Vapor 11. They won't quite fit the same way.

What I don't understand about this is that he kind of skips over the fact that it is exactly the same shoe as last generations which is bad enough but along with the fact that the old shoe was not the best and Josh said that many times and also that the pure speed was also the same thing as last years shoe aswell.
