About the video
We leave Greece after 85 days in the Schengen region. We head out of Kalimnos Greece, hoist the Turkish and Q Flag, then enter Turkish water, we hit land in Gulluk with what I would say was the easiest ever check-in to a country, docking up with a Fuel "bunker" boat, so relaxed! Check-in, was, hand over our documents to our agent, and shout over to the customs officer "nothing to declare", that was it!, we then head out of town across the water to what we called our "private beach", for a few days and had a nice day out walking the old Iasos castle ruins. Finally we head in to Bodrum to get ourselves a long awaited paddle board! :)

Hello, Love this video esp the Intro explaining where you’ve been and where you’re heading and use of the little maps, me and my partner really like the maps, as with other KZbin sailing channels, just gives us an idea in our mind of how far you’re about to travel and going to. x keep up the good videos, you’ll get there soon with more subscribers😊

How did you know to dock next to that fuel boat? Was there anyone you called in advance to show you a spot? I am always lost in situations like that. I don't know what to do. We enter the port, then I cruise around looking for someone to tell me what to do but usually no luck. It's not a marina so there is no one answering on ch 16 and if I just find a spot and dock stern-to, then I don't know if I am actually occupying the space of someone who just left for a day sailing. Any tips you can share with me please? :)

Hello DenizSasal! Thank you for the comment! We used a local agent to check into Turkey, we contacted him a few weeks before leaving Greece to get everything organised, then contact was made over whatsapp while at sail coming towards Gulluk, he described what to do and where to go. it was really one of the most easiest checkins, but like you, we are always a bit stressed and anxious about what to do, due to thar fact we generally don't stern to in towns and anchor out which is a shame for us. probably the easiest option would be to checkin to Turgutries, but we didn't as thats an expensive marina, but in hindsight we probably should have. if interested we can share the details for our agent, he is really nice!

@@Now-or-Never_Adventures ah, thank you! No need for the contact details, you're very kind. I am from Turkey and I don't think I'd want to use an agent for visiting towns. I noticed some people are just completely free of anxiety in these situations. They dock stern-to wherever available then deal with it later. My father was like that. Too bad we are not like that :) I grew up sailing in Turkey so I know pretty much most places to go in the west and south west. I thought of sharing two of my favorites for you, 1) Kokar in Sigacik. 2) Kekova island. Highly recommended - especially Kokar. Enjoy!
