My opinion- There is no fault of actors, the director has deliberately tried to ruin this movie. These are the points where they have done blunders which even a 5 yo kid can identify- 1. Should have casted Aishwarya Rai in place of Kriti for Sita Ji role. 2. Saif Ali Khan is a versatile actor. They could've shown him like original Raavan with big mustache and that would be really intimidating. But they have made him look like Khilji. 3. Meghnadh actor- I mean seriously. Meghnadh was a warrior not a champu. 4. Hanuman Ji actor- I think he was best suited for the role of Bali. 5. Laxamn Ji actor- He is better in doing comedy roles, why to ruin things which you are not good at? 6. Prabhas- Bhai this is not Bahubali, this is Ramayan. You have just copy pasted your role that's it. WITH THE HELP OF MY LEGAL CONNECTIONS, I AM GOING TO LODGE COMPLAINT AGAINST THIS MOVIE!!

Critical review of the movie. The movie should be actually based on the epic Ramayana and should not be a fiction. Censor Board should review it and show it as a Fiction movie and not a film based on Hindu Mythology

I dropped the idea of watching the movie. Your explanation was good but I would like to make a small correction. Rama Raavana yuddham was a day and night one. It was a war between humans (including vaanara) and raakshas. Raakshasas' strength would be doubled during night time as opposed to humans. The rule you mentioned about the war was applicable to Mahabharata even though Ghatotkacha (a raakshasa) was involved. On a funny note, my great grand mother who was a die hard fan of cricket used to recite Rama raksha stotram during India and Srl lanka day and night match :).

The level of devotion to Ram you mention is more of a North Indian (or Hindi belt to be more precise) phenomenon. Even though Ram is revered and respected in the Southern part, there are other gods which are given more importance. For ex: In Tamil Nadu, it is predominantly Shaivaite, Kerala, they follow Shakteya tradition.

I have been Shri Ram bhakt and a devout Hindu from as early as I can recall. I have been a professor for 8 years only. I will be a Shri Ram bhakt even after I stop being a professor. I do not go online and talk about Race 3 or some other movie. This movie was based on Ramayan which is very dear to me. And yes, professors are people too. And as a person, I am free to talk about any topic that interests me. Being a professor is a part of my professional life. And who says a professor cannot talk about a movie/game/topic that interests him.
