My 2010 ford crown Vic reverse gear is shot, how much is it to repair?

I haven't lost it completely it's a pressure problem when warm but works cold

Well that did not help tell me why I don't have reverse in my 5r55s

Well one of the reverse components failed. I show some of them in the video. Could be as "simple" as replacing the o-ring on the reverse servo piston. Or the reverse band might have broke or wore out. In my transmission, the surface that the reverse band grips on wore out. You gotta take yours apart and see what happened.

@@aDIYCarGuy I would agree about O-ring on rev piston - IF that's what it is? Reverse being the Least used gear? On- going slip, even with little use, can cause wear? Pity - All that other manufacturing quality - Let down by an O-ring? :( Must've been Monday morning in the factory? Another interesting thing - Band brakes dropped out of favour, decades ago? Replaced by external clutch packs? Ford kept the old idea - Improved by coiled metal band? Less expensive than a clutch pack?

Probably justvwas the reverse servo. You should have tried that first..

I did, and it wasn't that, I replaced the o-rings or whatever needed to be replaced on it, I forget
