They probably were in the tooling phase and were taken out to keep the cost under $1000.

We have these and they are fantastic, the only gripe I have is the GOBOs are quite difficult to swap out at first and we spent a while searching for the spring clip which either flew off or fell inside the fixture and stuck itself to a magnetic surface. The other thing is the glass GOBOs rotate within the wheel meaning they are not always the right way up, I think I need some sealant to stop that happening. Other than that they are brilliant and I would say worth the money. (Approx £849 currently in UK)

Mine don't spin inside the holder, but I use thick GOBOs. I recommend finding someone who does the same, too. This should help you quite a bit!

My unit was a first generation. Shortly after they made the Goboes removable via a slot loading system.

Not sure if mine has that or not. Looked kind of like a slot on the side but I didn't really want to break anything.

I've got 2 Three Z pearls. Just wondering how easy is it to replace the gobos? Shame it's not as easy as the Focus One and Two :)

Very nice review. I have 4 and am happy with it. I changed one of the gobos to reduce the spot size 50% to kind of emulate a beam fixture. Fooled a few people with that.

Thank you, Looking at this fixture for Production Mostly Dance and Theatre, How Quite is it? hows the Dimmer Curve? I have 6 SR III RGBW 10-50* Degree Zooms at 10Wx36 Base (400w with motors) Very Loud, no Fan Curve, which is fine for Dance and Bands cuz the rooms normally really warm, and do not want overheating issues. Looking for something Affordable which I can afford and compete price Quote Wise with Clients, especially with there being about 6 other people in town doing similar work as I am outside of Iatse. Running an Hog4 with 4 Universes.

Which other fixtures would you compare the 3Z's brightness to? I'm looking to add another set of movers and need something for gymnasiums & large venues. (Currently have the chauvet 355)
