From my shootout I would tell people to expect output SIMILAR to a Mac aura with the caveat that Single colors are not as bright but combinations such as pastels and whites are brighter. The colors on skin are great.

@@davisentertain I would agree. Because this is additive color mixing, when using only primary colors there will be less light coming from the fixture than that of when using multiple colors to mix. What I found really interesting is that when you patch this unit as a CMY fixture using the Virtual CMY modes you dont really lose any output when mixing color because again, this is still additive vs subtractive mixing. In all, even though I work for ADJ and am a tad biased, I would be happy to use this unit in my venue as there is virtually nothing like it on the market until your budget widens by A LOT.

@@riverrat7797 that is not a bad price for this light- I paid almost 4K for 2 Chauvet R2 spots and I think adding these washes will go well with my Chauvets.

@@rogersalles200in your opinion how do these compare to mac aura? I just did a nice show w mac auras and focus spot 4z and I just got a bunch of these. I’m wondering if they will complement the 4z like the mac auras did

Forgive me...but I must ask...why make this a moving head? Wouldn't this be amazing as simply a par can? I am very ignorant? So forgive me, but I cannot see an upside to a moving head wash. Just asking to learn. Thank you.

If you cant easily access your lights then the moving head is great. Had a church contact me for options on front light, who had to bring in scaffold and move pews when they needed to access their front light. They ended up putting in moving head front light which they could re-aim and focus easily. Also they are able to use the lights for different tasks in the same service, focussed on the band for music, then on the speaker for the message.

You are correct, this would be a swell PAR can fixture. The reason for moving head design is there are some installations where it is not practical to get a ladder out to the fixture to change focus. All of the car shows (at convention centers) use moving head fixtures even though they rarely if ever move during the show. Remote focus capability is the reason. I isn't practical to get a ladder or snorkel lift out next to an expensive car to focus a light.

The other responses are correct. As users and venues continue to evolve using newer technology they will find that sometimes using 12 moving and zooming fixtures will adequately do the job of 24 or more static fixtures with minimal maintenance as well. With regard to churches, many of them change their set designs based on the segment they're teaching that month or for various events outside of Sunday service such as Youth and VBS events that are not a traditional service. And Ill probably get a slap on the wrist for saying this publicly but there will be a series of static LED pars that offer very similar feature sets to this unit coming soon.

so you can remotely focus the light to different subjects easly . the same reason you use any moving head.

Another overpriced light from adj. all you do is buy Chinese companies lights and put your name on it and have them inspected then charge an insane amount. Both lighting makes the same lights your name is on and I can buy 6 of them for the price of your one.
