Good stuff. I would clarify @17:02 that the “amount” is the amount of individual fixtures you want to put into the DMX universe. The amount is how the WMX1 assigns addresses. If you have multiple lights that you want to do the exact same thing, then assign the WMX1 amount as “1” and give all those lights the resulting DMX address. In this case, 001. If you want to control each light individually, then the WMX1 amount should be the number of fixtures you want to control individually, and each light assigned the respective DMX address. With these being 8 channel lights, it would be 001, 009, 0017, etc. I know the video creator knows this. I added this for everyone else that might not be so DMX savvy when working with their WMX1. Also, even if you add individual fixtures with their own addresses, their effects will be controlled by their assigned group unless you set each light function up save in “Live Edit”.

Good tip so lets say I wanted to program a pattern with two colors, such as red, green every other light. Is that two groups with say 8 lights on DMX 001 and 8 on DMX 009?
@Cleo_and_Mark Жыл бұрын
@@richardg8687 You can either do it the way you are saying or you can give each light a separate address (and just assign to one group) and you can use the WM1 to create a 2 light pattern that repeats across all of the lights, or chases along the lights (from left to right, right to left, out to center, center to out) as well as creating other patterns. For the most flexibility you would want to give each light a separate address. We have 12 Rockville Rockwedges that we assign different addresses (each is in 10-channel mode, so each takes up 10 addresses).

This is my second video I saw you produce with the Wmx1. This video made me a subscriber. You answered at least half my questions in this video. Looking forward watching you grow. Great info!!

Thank you so much for this. Still need to watch part 2 & 3. Just ordered a WMX1 yesterday, first and foremost for my 20 BothLighting S6s, but also to hook up my Chauvet Hex FX and ADJ Dotz. Will be referring to your videos to get accustomed! Cheers!

I have the bothlighting IR4s as well. Does this need to be performed for each fixture? or can you program one light to be used as a master and slave the rest?

Hi, thanks for the video. I have one question, for the moving head fixture, is there a way to tell Wolfmix how the fixture is mounted (ceiling mount or on the floor etc)? Thanks Toan.

@StikyIckie3 ай бұрын
@DJLIBRAMUSICINC bro, tell me a computer program where you can literally turn on your computer, make one click, and you're show ready. No addressing, no patching, no grouping, no plotting, no programming, nothing. Just turn on, click, and you have everything you need for the show at your disposal. I'll happily sell my $15,000 lighting console (that doesn't do that) for this "turn-on, click, and play" computer program you speak of. Bc honestly, this sounds like an industry changer! For the money, this is actually a really good product. Instead of being afraid to learn how this works, it's more rewarding to learn how this lighting environment works so that you get so much more out of your lighting than ANY computer program alone can offer. There's necessary steps you have to take to make a good lighting show. If you want to cut corners, don't bother with control. Just set your lights to sound reactive and be done. Otherwise, this takes some work, man.
