I thought about purchasing the ADJ LINK … BUT this WMX1 is a beast and it’s small and compact.. I love it! I have designed so many shows with this thing for corporate gigs, high school rallies, and stage lighting for concerts, and with the capability to have 4 universes, ya this thing has saved me thousands of $$$ from buying a Chamsys or GrandMA Wing lol! And as far as a road case for it, I just went to my local Harbor Freight and bought the Apache 2800 and it fit perfect,.. but now I wanna see what kind of cases you guys have lol! Great video btw!

Here's our case: www.learnstagelightinggear.com/products/adj-wmx1-custom-road-case Essentially, the difference in cost between this and a Apache 2800 is the custom foam. It's not cheap, but if you use it a lot, it's really reasonable since the pick-n-pluck foam will get all beat up and nasty after awhile!

Thanks for uploading this demo. I see you creating scenes (presets) nice and easily. Can you then select certain scenes and save them as a chase? Then control how quickly the chase changes between each scene? Idea is to be able to create loads of scenes then just leave them running so you've got a whole light show running by itself. Thanks!

This thing would be unstoppable if it had record in real-time pass. Hit record, it records every button hit, knob turned ect; song ends, hit stop recording and save as preset. Name saved patch. Recall for future song. Give me 99 of those and we got a deal. I'll wait for version 2.0 because someone is going to make that happen.

that's because it's not a adj product, it's a wolfmix unit with an adj sticker on it.

Thank you for doing this controller some justice! I have one myself and, yes, it is different, yes, I have to practice but it is the most powerfull controller for this price! It is a petty that all "promo-lightshows" that are online and made with the Wolfmix are not that good. Could you pick a song and make a good one?

Great video. Sooo helpful getting started with the WMX1. I'm wondering if I can edit a fixture once I get it selected and assigned to a group. I have some generic RGB pars that don't seem to be covered in the list of fixtures. I use the RGB selection but it needs to have a dimmer added making it 4 channels instead of 3. Any suggestions? Thanks!!

my smoke machine wont smoke from pushing the smoke button. Any tips on what might be happening would be greatly appreciated

Have you tried to debug it? Does it work, when you send a value on the correct DMX channel? In the settings you can manually control DMX channels. If this works, the smoke might not be recognized as a smoke

Getting the sense I will need some to use the WMX while I am playing music. Is this good for simply set it and forget it and have automated shows?

It is pretty good. There are sound-activated effects that you can change between occasionally during songs. It's not fully hands off, but you really don't have to press it often once you're setup

Great video! What controller (hardware or software) would you recommend for just small scale DJ'ing so that my lights can just sync themselves to audio - I cant use the sound mode on the actual lights because they aren't easily accessible and we keep them in DMX mode normally.

Not very well. There is a profile in the WMX1 which is not very good and no fault of the WMX1. I just use the foot controller to cycle the auto shows. I use 16 rockville wedges, 4 freedom sticks and 2 Rock strips and the Gigbar . Good Luck

Yes, it can work with any DMX light and profiles can be made.

yes it works if you set it to address of your 2nd light it works and i am not sure why but lets say your want it as your first light you cant but to get it work worth make it as your 2nd dmx light and it just works !!!! it has to have that chain to work ...kind of goofy

Don't forget it is a 600 dollar controller... In fact, you can record your buttons and play it back. It will remember the interval. And, you can connect to DJ-software for live bpm. So, indeed no midi but some other functions that can help you!

@@Bart134 point taken, but even the ADJ DMX operator has basic midi control, and it’s 1/3 of the price and 10 years old. Just seems like MIDI would have been a great add for syncing with sequenced playback. Almost every software DMX solution can do this.

How do you patch the smoke machine

the profile of the smoke machine has a "Smoke" Channel. The unit automaticaly assingnes that channel to the smoke button
