All of your videos rock! So cool dinette can do this and put in vibrate mode. My car shows my glucose levels too now 🥳🥳🥳

Amazing video for sure! I bounce back and forth between Medtronic Sensor 4 and Dexcom 7. Reason being the Sensor 4 only lasts me 5 days and they are so expensive. The Dexcom lasts much longer for me!

I really appreciated this video. I started the G7 in February. First sensor was OK but it definitely needed a lot of attention as far as alerts go. Would like to have had this video in February!! Next two were making me want my G6 back. But there was no going back. Fine tuned the alerts . Turned signal loss alert off. I found that if G7, phone, watch, and pump (Tandem) are not on the same side I'd get a signal loss alert. Very irritating at night. The 20 foot Bluetooth range is true but there cannot be any obstructions in the way and apparently a body is an obstruction. We are getting along better, the sensor is teaching me how to behave. All things considered I wouldn't be without it.

Thanks Justin, I’m moving to G7 tomorrow, I do use the rapid rise rate on G6 , as I’m using iAPS soon to be Trio, and if there is a red loop, I can then manually bolus.

You asked about using the double arrow up alert. It is set on phone for one who isn't always willing to medicate before eating. Fortunately, the annoyance created by the alert is forcing the user to be a better med/meal planner. Where on the app do you acknowledge the alert?

Hey! I use the silence all every night. I’m caregiver of T1D 5 years old and since she’s not able to care for her diabetes I silenced her dexcom so she wouldn’t wake up I get the alert on the receiver.

Great video. For the I watch how do you change the alerts? I really like the direct connect with the I watch and not needing my phone with me but the alerts are driving me crazy, they are way too frequent ie seems like every minute

Awesome tips. I have g7 from January and thx for letting me know to again review my sometimes annoying alerts at wrong time 😂 but big BIG question. I love numbers and constantly checking it, but wearing Apple watch only startů any alerts with kinda low volume and it cannot be changed it is set by apple i think to this day. Bit even bigger question, what app you have on your apple watch? My oficial app for G7 is not looking like that and if i not click on the icom it will not refreshed itself. Thank you for additional info!❤

Do you know for the dexcom 7. I put my phone on silent at night is there a way to still get sound alerts or does it match my phones mode?

Justin thanks for your great videos! Im on my second G7 and I’m tired of losing signal. Seems to happen A LOT more often than with the G6. I want to know if the “Direct to Apple Watch” works without your phone being with you. I would need to upgrade my Apple Watch but don’t want to if it’s not worth it. Have you tried this feature yet? Thanks!

True about losing signal quite often. Lose signal less frequently when the phone and/or pump is on the same side as the sensor i.e. G7 on left arm, wear phone/pump on the left side though not as critical with the phone. Regarding direct to Apple Watch: It does work without the phone but again the same side scenario plays a part. But the watch will switch over automatically to getting the readings from the phone if it loses signal from the G7. I'm guessing the problem stems from making the G7 smaller. Smaller battery along with a smaller antenna.

This doesn't apply to Tandem Tslim users.

This must be a set up for an apple phone. My Samsung Galaxy S23 ultra doesn't have the 3 dots up in the corner.

Oh wow. I guess I need to look at the Android app too - I assumed they would be the same…are you using G7?
