Great video. I've made all of these mistakes. The worst feeling is pairing down the end grain and having your board split. Thanks for your explanations and suggestions. It never occurred to me to get in there with a knife, great advice

11:56 It looks like there would have been enough material for a carefully performed cut with a sharp, thin sawblade. Any advice against removing the most part with a saw, if applicable?
