Just be sure that the servo is turned back all the way otherwise it won't be adjusted right.

Are we supposed to be applying power to the servo motor in order to adjust. I don’t seem to be getting a positive adjustment from moving the adjuster in or out. I just see the spring moving in and out

Hey man, I recenctly cleaned my power valves. I did not reset de servo… Now the warning light blink 7 times in a row. How could i reset it? I tried lowering the idle but it does nothing. Thanks

I have the '98 Mountain SRX. Runs fine, but shuts down after few rides. Any suggestions for that? Would appreciate any information.

Aninga32 Have you tried compression testing? If it heats up and loses compression then it could be piston rings.

I have a 2003 SX Viper. power valve set up looks the Same. Same adjustments for that?

Johnie Davis I would imagine. You can always check the manual online, this is just meant to make explaining it easier. If you have electric start, there’s no need to do the idle part, just turn the key to the on position without starting the sled.

I live in Canada and I'm having a issue finding SRX700 power valve's for my 2000 srx 700 triple I got the valve's out only one is good and I cant find none that are cheap anywheres I'd love to buy new ones but they are $ 195.00 a peace you said you sent yours out to hawk motors can I do the same thing from Canada they have nothing down here at hawk motors you said they can fix all three of your valve's for what one would cost is this true like I said I'm from Canada and just want my sled running I never ever had anything good in my life and my dad died and left me the sled and I'd love to fine a way to get this sled working it's in mack shape but I need power valve's or i wont be skidooing this year can someone please help me i ant got alot of money bit i do work but i can not afore to pay 195 dollars just for one valve and I need the three of them so that means about a 700 dollars for all 3 valve's that's with out the cables some one or some angel please help me find these or get mine fi ed for a half descent price thanks and God bless yas all

@@auston8715 can some one point me in the right way to get my power valve's fixed they are pulled through I lived in Canada dose anyone know where I can ship these out to get someone to fix them it's going to cost way to much for new ones and the aluminum is to soft I heard hawk motors in the states can redo them for the price of own and they have stainless steel on the replacement ones so they last long is thos really true i have a 2000 srx700 triple Yamaha that is very sentimental to me I need to have this running this year can some one explain what I have to do to get this done thanks so much looking forward to your guys feed back and you made such a great video thank

Hey bud I have a 2000 srx700 triple power valve's everytime it rains it wont fire would that have somthing to do with my wire harness rubbing out under the motor my mind is balfold and it was idling at 2800 and buddy didnt k ow why so when I went to pick it up yeasterday it started first pull with out choke and it idled fine 1500 but then it started to fail my two plugs I turned the idle up again and it came out of it started hitting on all cylinders it's got 128psi in all cylinders then it worked good all night but after driving it the idling went back up to 2800 and I turned it till it was idling at 1800 then went for drive come back home and it was still idling at 2800 and I tryed to turn switch of and burp it to see if the idleing would come down but it didnt and if i idle it back down to 1500 it start running on one cylinder until I give it a shot of gas then the other cylinders will kick in no backfiring lots of pull just when I come to a stop it wont idle down even if I set there for a bit its piped and have a can on it dose that mean it just needs to be reaving higher to keep it from feeling my plugs it wont do it if its idling at 2000 but I cant seem to keep it at 1800 or even 1900 cause as soon as I drive it itll start idling at 2800 is this ok and it's just a tippcal triple doing what they do best I thought my cdi box was getting damp but it's not that I think it's the wiring harness cause them years 2000 model dont make the cdi box for that model sled anymore and it's a two plug in cdi box and can I change it to a 99 cdi box with the 99 wire harness or is the plugins different that come out of the motor please help I put alot of money in the sled if you can

Sterlin Culleton It sounds like it’d be easier to find a parts sled with the wiring or cdi if that’s what you think it is. Is the sled completely up to temp and has coolant flow (ie the sled doesn’t over heat)

Nope it dosnt over heat and every lights on it work and the cdi I box Yamaha dont make them anymore o called the Yamaha company and it looks like this the box I nee

Tony Derks As far as I know they aren’t greaseable, I think they’re sealed bearings

Tony Derks mine was at 115 and then 112 on one cylinder, if it still runs I wouldn’t take it apart just for that, but I think they’re supposed to be around 130

There is a physical range limiter built into the power valve. There should be a collar around it that stops it from making contact. I'd guess your collars are worn/broken/non existent.

I have a 1998 srx and It is burning through a lot of oil. I went on a 40 mile ride and it burned through the whole tank. Why would it burn through that much oil?

Hoping to get a comment back with this, I have a 98 srx 700 trip, it’s been popping really bad almost like the sparks are bad but there all fresh, and it’s almost like it’s not pulling the way it should or the power isn’t there even tho it revs out normally I’m not sure what’s going on with it

I’d check to make sure you have the right plugs and clean the carbs/fuel pump to assure that you have the correct gas/air ratio as well as oil mixture as it gets mixed in the fuel pump

@@mikeversluis1347 Remove cover, Start machine, rev up, watch it. should function. Drop idle to 900 should rotate to full open position.

So now my SRX is running on 2 cylinders I have spark clean the the carbs got my power valves opening and closing can the coil wires back a quarter-inch rethreaded in the spark plug caps 125 a bad CDI box wonder if it's my stator is there anything else they can think of anybody out there you let me know what's going on new fresh fuel premium gas is it possible to timing's off or the keyway on the flywheel I'm going to check that next

@@mikeversluis1347 Could be a few things, check the airbox boot to carburetor, see that they are correct and not flipped up and clamped down. Basically snuffing carb face. I have come across mice nest in pipes before, plug right up. I s the plug on non running cylinder wet ?
