Okay, I have an old 10-5psi switch, is it possible to exchange the springs and put these on a 60-40psi switch? so I now have a new 10-5psi switch.

Ok . I have a tank with water ( the height of the tank is about 9 inches) and I need to empty it with a pump. My initial pressure is very small, almost 0.5 PSI, but I want to shutt off the pump at 44 head ( 19 PSI ) . What kind of switch do you recommend for that kinda application? I didn't find anything like that in your list shown here :(((

I have a 9013 FSG. Is it possible to adjust this 30/50 to 40/60. I could not get the on point to be above 36 but achieved 60 on the off. Is it okay to operate this switch at 36/60?

Why can't you adjust the smaller pressure differential on a air compressor switch? I need a greater range or difference between the on and off pressure on my air compressor.

Depends on the specific switch as they aren't all the same. Visit your local electrical supplier and get the correct switch with a larger pressure differential for your desired application. I would ask on machinist and auto shop forums as both use compressors and have some very sharp techs. You need to SPECIFY the differential range you desire. A wider range may not be best for air compressors if you wind up using something like a sander and it slows down and speeds up and slows down in use, the narrower range helps prevent those spikes of air

The large spring explanation is crystal clear it moves the range (max and min move togheter) Not so clear the role of the small spring. Can you please clarify the small spring how does it operate? It regulates the difference between max and min but does the max stays in place or the min stays in place? Thanks Thanks!

It would be nice if you told us what size the nuts are I.E. 5/16.

It's odd most installers don't own a socket set, but the nuts on mine are 3/8" and a deepwell socket clears the bolt.

Good so its 3 turns +or- for 10 lbs pressure change in the shut on/off point.

Hi Fenris, If the pressure switch has an adjustable differential which means it comes with two springs, then you can adjust the range. The scale of this range is mentioned on the data sheet of the product. Hope this clarifies your doubt. Thanks & Regards Customer Care

The installation instructions do. I have sheet 65013-005-39 in my hand and if you have them in stock at a local hardware store you can read the sheet if you don't have one and this official Schneider download link ever fails: www.se.com/us/en/download/document/65013-005-39/ If you need a different model here is the parent link: tesensors.com/us/en/products/pressure-level-control/nema-pressure-switches They are extremely simple if you look at the contact pairs. Ground to the green ground screw, black and white to the matching sides as each movable contact bridges a pair of fixed contacts. Of course they're intended to be installed by electricians who understand basic theory (easy to learn, so do that). For example given three wires (say green, black and white) from your motor you would ground both to the single green ground screw or each to a separate green ground screw on the steel body of the valve. Your white from the motor goes to the contact set on one side and your white power coming in to the other contact ON THE SAME SIDE. The movable contact bridges that pair of fixed contacts. Wire the opposite side with your black wires the same way. IF YOU ARE NOT SURE HOW A SWITCH WORKS YOU CAN TEST IT (WITHOUT POWER APPLIED) WITH AN OHM METER. However you need to study how those work too. It's not difficult but you will need basic reading comprehension and if you aren't sure, google each term and read until you know. KZbin is a terrible format for Q and A so find FORUMS which cover your interests. It's highly educational and I do that even for subjects where I'm a legitimate expert (aircraft and motorcycle maintenance) because nobody knows everything and the more ya know the more humble and curious you should become.
