Adjusting Ride Height On My 2015 Mazda 6! How To Adjust Ride Height and Dampening on Coilovers!!

Adjusting ride height and dampening on coilovers is the main reason for getting them as a suspension component in your build. Stephen Barr once you have everything disconnected, make sure to slowly decompress the springs with a jack resting under it so it doesn’t just shoot out

For the rear since it's a rear spring and strut setup to adjust the height in the rear you have to screw in the spring perch up or down to lower/raise the ride height.

Is adjusting this way the same as turning the shock body? I’m assuming the preload is already locked once the 2 upper rings are locked?

Mickey N preload is set already when they’re bought, but yes this is the same as turning the shock body but this way is done when the Coilovers are already installed

Any idea on how to adjust the REAR dampening on Godspeeds? I believe there is a hex bolt on the top to adjust, but I can't find a wrench that fits or grabs anything. Any information would be helpful and appreciated.

Kevin Shaffer dampening is adjusted by a knob and for the rear the knob is located on the top of the strut

The front has aftermarket endlinks provided by godspeed, but my rear are stock.

Hey man i have these coils for my speed3, when i installed them they were HELLAA bouncy. I know they set the preload but when i took them off i noticed i could turn the spring. Could that be the issue?

Thanks man, I thought I had to drop the bottom bolt and turn the base of the shock. I have mine way too low. I need an inch up in the front and 2 inches down in the back. 2010 370Z

@@abc.garage The Godspeed Mono SS. I ordered them for the extended top hat design on the rears. Apparently a big problem on the Miata is rear strut travel, so having longer travel makes the ride and handling much better. Pretty impressive coming from a mid-low range coilover. You’re not the first to say that they are holding up well after a lot of use which makes me happy lol. How did they perform on the track for you?

ABC Garage it blows my mind hearing all these complaints about saving money and buying name brand for double the price or more and all the research I did shows these last and at the cost vs reward you definitely get your money’s worth and then some! If you’re professionally racing I would understand the need for the absolute best parts but for the basic guy having fun in his daily with some extra power adders these are excellent!

Im installing these coilovers now and this does not work for me, when I spin the top collar the larger one this just adjust the preload the shock body does not spin. is there a reason?

David V top collar should be used to raise height, if you watch my installation video it shows how to adjust height by rotating the shock body
