Thanks for making this info public! I had a massive pump pressure issue with my Evo a year ago, and your email help suggested I send the machine in for a rotary pump replacement... Some time checking web forums showed me just how easy it was to adjust this screw. This should help tons of people :)

Thank goodness. My Rocket has had high pressure since I first got it 8 years ago and then recently started squealing and I thought the pump was about to blow up... now it's adjusted and working like a dream. :)

Hi there! Does this adjusting corresponds to a Giotto PID V? I am not having a good pressure whenener I brew my coffee. Do I have to instal the blind filter in order to check the pressure? Thanks!

I have just bought a Evo Type R. I plumbed it into the water, however when I brew a coffee, the pump gauge goes into the green. But once I finish the brewing, it never goes back to 0 until I turn off the machine and pull the lever up (without the basket attached). Have you seen this before?

Hi, My Rocket Giotto ChronoV has a problem where the pump pressure gauge is at 8, but does not release pressure in the drain position. it works fine if its warming up or if a relieve pressure by drawing some hot water for example. any ideas what is the problem ? I've done a full strip down of the E61 head but this did not help so I suspect its something with a sticky pump ?

my brand new Rocket Mozzafiato Chono Evo R often times surpasses the steamer’s pressure of 1 bar fron the green zone into the ted zone, and beyond, making this awful train whistle noise. I have to turn off the machine immediately. it does it more often if i set the PID temperature to anything higher that 120 degrees Celsius. Can that be adjusted or does it require sending the machine for repaor?

I have my rocket evoluzione on soft water house pressure. It always worked great. Now I am not getting any preinfusion. I am brewing at 10 bar. Just cleaned my machine with citric acid coffee cleaner. Is there junk clogging my preinfusion? I was not getting hardly any water from my E61, hence I cleaned it , getting good water into portafilter.

Hi guys. I have a Cellini Plus v2. I have been trying to increase the brew pressure. However, it would appear that unlike all the videos and photos I've seen of this model, there is no adjustable OPV, usually accessible under the machine. Is this possible? Am I missing something? Or could it be they simply manufactured this model without the function of adjusting brewing pressure? Many thanks!

Figure it out? I think most machines have it inside. So you might have to take the top of it off.

I too have a Cellini and have been researching how to adjust brew pressure. Below is a link I found of an early Cellini demo which includes a brief description of how to adjust the pressure. Vital bit of information missing from the video. Do you turn the bolt clockwise or anti-clockwise to reduce the pressure? My guess is that the bolt needs to come further OUT of the machine to reduce pressure. Also, this adjustment does need to be done when the machine is fully up to temperature and stable pressure, right? I think those points are worth clarifying. Thanks.

What if you have a vibration pump such as the (Rocket Cronometro Type V) cause I think there is no way to adjust any vibration pump, am I right? My mom just received her today and the pump pressure took a while to ramp up which I just learned it was normal to take about 5 seconds more than on a rotary like my R58 which I'm used to, but then it never went above 4.5Bar and the coffee was very watery, weak/pale and didn't taste good. Would that be a derfectuous machine?

Haha! Replying to self cause it's just funny 2 years later to see my own comment when I'm looking back at this old video to re-adjust my (Rocket R58 2019) as I just sold my mom's Rocket and bought her a wayyy better (Lelit Bianca V3) 2 days ago that's even better than my R58 no joke... Feels like the same plumbing quality but with a PID, features and technology of a computer 10 years ahead, plus the flow control is 10x easier too and it can do pre-infusion, it's so awesome!

This is only applicable to the rotary pump models. The ones with a vibratory pump do NOT have this external adjustment screw.

The pump pressure on my R58 when it is turned on and sitting is just above zero. When I pull a shot the pressure then goes up to the green zone around 10. After about 30 seconds after pulling the shot it’s back to zero again. In the machines I see pictures of the pressure gauge the needle is between the 5 mark and 9. Is my machine okay?

This shouldn't be going up when your NOT using the pump, which kind of makes sense. I have a R58 also and yes it stays at 0 when I turn it on, only the left gauge goes into the green 1.0 bar after 10min, then only when I brew the right gaughe goes around 9-10 bars which is what you want and then back to 0 when you close the lever, even if the machine stays on.
