Yes you can.. But normally it is adopted for theodolite or compass traversing.

While doing closed traverse, the start point and finish point should coincide. But due to personal errors, instrumental errors or natural errors, they might not coincide. The distance by which the traverse fails to close is known as the closing error. This closing error has to be adjusted (which is shown in this video), otherwise the errors will keep on accumulating and lead to inaccurate result.

Can u measure the length of the adjusted traverse?

Yes! After you get the corrected traverse, it has to be measured on the scale, and the correct reading can be found out.
