Excellent video , very high standard of quality of information by apparently a non-lawyer that beats many lawyer's descriptions due to its step by step simple approach. Many applicants are legal visitors to the USA and not on a fiancee K1 visa. Lots of other items could be added to this check list but for people who do it themselves, this is the best I've seen. Every immigration lawyer I've called wants a very large amount to retain them. God knows what it would cost if they were involved all the way to the issue of a green card and citizenship.

Hi, from what I've known only I-485, I-765 and I-131 can be filed together. You can call USCIS customer service though. They will be able to answer your question. We have called them so many times and they have been very helpful.

Hi, USCIS just made an additional form to AOS application starting Feb. 24, 2020. So yes, you have to submit I-944 Declaration of Self-Sufficiency together with your AOS application.

@Danny Unchained No, you would need it. The USCIS wants to make sure an alien will not likely to receive any financial assistance from the government. So, if you think that you don't have enough money to support yourself just make sure your petitioner or joint sponsor has a lot of money. There are exempted people like the refugees and asylee. Go to uscis website to see if you qualify for the exempted people. This is brand new to us, Uscis just made this law on February 24, 2020. It seems like the government is getting really strict about who they are going to grant their greencard. We will continue to research this. They have an instruction form about i-944, you can see the list of exempted people in their instruction page.

I know a lot of people who are also filing AOS with this new requirement and they are still waiting for an update from the uscis since this is new to everybody.

Yes. Go the uscis website and then download their instruction pdf.

If you properly file Form I-485 and pay the required fees, you may file Form I-765 and Form I-131 without paying additional fees. You may file these forms together, or if you choose to file Form I-765 or Form I-131 separately, you must also submit a copy of your I-797C, Notice of Action, receipt as evidence that you filed and paid for Form I-485.

No, not the same as far as I know. Go to the USCIS website to check what jurisdiction your state is in. I have heard that uscis tried to receive all the applications in one place but I am not 100% sure with that yet, so you might need to check their website.

It is all up to you. If you think you are not traveling at all outside the US while waiting for your 2 year green card then you don’t need to do it. However, if you decide to go on a vacation somewhere (out of the country like Canada or Mexico) it might be helpful to have it. It is free to file, if you file it with the Adjustment of Status.

I would strongly recommend to speak to an attorney about this and see if they can clear it out for you. Make one mistake and your case could be thrown into the trash.

@@topaciot i spoke with an attorney, this was so tricky i had to actually spend money :( you can file I-130 online (which I did) and it will automatically give you that same day or the very next day a receipt notice that you can print and add it in the whole package, that is what i did. as long as you add that receipt notice, there is no problem. Your fiancée still needs to complete all the required vaccinations. Look at your fiancée’s record if it says it’s incomplete then she needs to complete all the required vaccinations. If you go to the civil surgeon’s office and show them your paper, most of the time they would know exactly what needs to be done.

If you cannot get your Form I-94 from the CBP website, you may file Form I-102, Application for Replacement/Initial Nonimmigrant Arrival-Departure Record, with USCIS. See our website at uscis.gov/I-102 for more information."

You can still use whatever the USCIS has in their website. Just make sure to check their website again to see if they have updated their form before sending in your application. If they have changed it, use the latest version that they have.

Hi, G-1145 is just optional. It is an electronic notification when the USCIS receives your application. You can write your information on it if you want to do it. But as soon as you get a receipt notice of your application from the USCIS, they also give you a number to check your application status online.

It is covered with the whole packet. I-765 and I-131 are free when you file them with your Adjustment of status. Make sure you check the uscis website to see they haven't changed the fee.

Select: Not required for a tax return. Explanation: I am a new immigrant and have not worked yet. This is what I've seen that others are doing. We made this video right before USCIS made this new form, this is also new to us, but we will try to help research for everyone as much as we can. I hope this helps!

Wendu, if your husband's age is within Age 14 - 78; form fee is $1,140, biometrics fee is $85, total fee is $1,225. I'm not sure why they keep rejecting your application. USCIS has a call center service you might want to call them and ask why they said your fee is not correct. Also, did you file I-485 with the new form I-944? When did you send your application?

Yes! You can apply I-130 as soon as you come back to the US. There is also K1 visa which will take about 7 months to get the approval but then you have to get married in the US (once your fiance gets here) and not in Nigeria. But if getting married in Nigeria is important for you and your fiance then you can apply for I-130 once you get back from Nigeria.

Yes. That’s what I thought but my application got rejected because I did not send I944. So for sure do add i944.

Copies of the original documents are fine unless they ask you specifically to send the original copy

I’ve been making money but she has not made a lot. I also saw on the website that I-864 is not necessary anymore if you are filing I-485. Is that true? Are you familiar? Thank you so much

I'm in the same exact position. I think you have to fill it. When you fill out the 944 self-sufficiency and household income is lower than poverty line you should file it. US citizen spouse fills the affidavit to sponsor you but then you have another copy so a friend or relative fills out as well as a joint sponsor

As long as all the vaccination required by the uscis are complete on your DS 3025 then you don’t need to do I-693 but If they are not complete then you need to do I-693.

Hi if you are F1 student studying in the USa you cannot become a permanent resident of the Usa, called adjustment of status instead you can change your non immigrant b2 Visa to another non immigrant F1 visa ,by just applying from within ,just make sure you don't apply in one a month of arriving in the usa as it will look planned (not good) and apply 90-60 before your stay on your I-i94 expires given at the port of entry on your b2 Visa.

No. Those who are exempted are only those who are above poverty guidelines in their income. Please check the uscis poverty guidelines in their website. Every state has different poverty guidelines.

1099 is for self employed. If you are not self employed you can send 3 months pay stubs, w2 and 1040 and irs transcript
