Admin Character Issues (Sonic R-echarged)

(Copied from another comment I made earlier) Admin characters like Shadow, Rouge, and Cream are not being added mainly due to the fact that they are not canon due to being modern characters. I know some people may call this argument illogical or unreasonable (it might be-), but I want this game to at least have new content fit in with the already existing content when added. Also, new content is already on its way, so people will be able to enjoy it!

That's why I didn't want them to be public anyway, not only they're only reskins, but they don't fit at all with Sonic R, its aesthetic, and the classic era, being modern characters, presented in the modern era with the modern cast And I prefer much more you guys just adding new content over time with new classic characters with new abilities Classic Charmy with a mid-air dash, Mighty with a hammer drop that could make him gain speed in slopes, Fang with his popgun that could be used as an attack just like Eggman (or his spring tail that could be used to bounce around, like in SRB2 for example)

You guys got to understand that just because many people like a character doesn't mean every developer has to add that character to satisfy the fans, cuz then you'd have to just add every sonic character. its still unfortunate we cant have shadow but we should appreciate that at least we can play this game instead of complaining over why shadow isn't publicly available if he wasn't in the game, its better that the admins get something for their work instead of having it passed to everyone like candy. But other than that, enjoy the game for what it is.

i feel like, even tho they r reskins and all, to be put in public BUT with a catch, just like the others unlockable they dont need just coins but they will be unlocked like super sonic with the chaos or other emeralds in the current maps and futures ones, AND put new characters like other comments suggested as Charmy, Espio, Vector, Mighty, Ray, Fang, Bark, Bean. Honey and Tikal i think they could blend in greatly, especially if it will be a jungle themed course. Ik that development can be long but these r my suggestions (+ the other ones): -add Charmy, Espio, Vector, Mighty, Ray, Fang, Bark, Bean, Honey, Tikal & Metal Amy with unique abilities -add reskins (such as: Shadow for Sonic, Cream & rouge for tails, Omega and Gamma for Knuckles/metal sonic, Sally and Chaos for Eggman & Silver for Tails doll [just some ideas with the intended features]) harder to unlock or just be unlocked with the 7 emeralds -MAYBE add the Time Stones, Sol and Super Emeralds for new worlds and with the super emeralds add the long legendary Hyper sonic -course maps from or inspired by sonic adventure 1 and 2 and idk how many admins there are but just give them customized characters, with their sonic OC or just a unique skin that let people know they were and are important to this lil community i may ask too much but take in minds that this is just suggestions since almost all (except Cream, Metal Amy, Tikal i think, Sally, Silver & Blaze, Mighty & Ray and Honey) have a low poly render, some more detailed others not. Time Stones, Sol & Super emeralds can be too excessive but i think it would be kinda cool having other emeralds in the game, it would add a bit more content and new great unlockables. as for the maps, i think they would be kinda cool having coursed about some nostalgic zones in Adventure I and II for that X option in the menu, i think u can change that to Classic R, without anything of new characters or map, or the opposite and change it to Modded R (only if u want to keep the original vibe without the new stuff) so yea here some ideas on how i think the game could be more interesting with other suggestions made by other commenters, feel free to take them or not, its yo game u do whatever u want and i like it as it is (even tho there is literally almost not that much content), its fun, i like sonic and low poly games and i always wanted to play sonic R. Just Please dont mess up this re-ideration of a legendary junky cool game, keep yourself and ur admin team safe, stay happy and have a nice day :)

I completely understand why you’ve made this decision, and it’s definitely the best option you could’ve taken. Making those skins public would simply make them lose their value, therefore rendering them pointless. In my opinion, the concept of having the chance to play against characters you can’t play as sounds pretty cool and would definitely lead to some excitement from me. I have not yet played Sonic R-echarged, but I certainly plan to this weekend!

I personally feel that they could work well as cosmetics, just to incentivize the game beyond it being a remake of Sonic R. I understand, though. Some CANON characters for the era that I'd like to see are; - Mighty - Ray - Fang - Mecha Sonic - Not a character, but I'd like a functioning scoreboard on the left like Sonic R's rather than just a winner display Ultimately, I understand that they're admin-exclusive, but it's still a bit of a letdown, especially when they're fan-favorites like Shadow. I'm sorry to hear that you guys have gotten harassment over locked characters in a racing game. Be proud of what you've accomplished already!

I’ve actually seen an admin in the server get harassed as shadow and they didint even say anything three random people just ran towards them and said stuff like “how do you get that”and, “tell me how to get that now” and, your an idiot” I genuinely don’t understand people these days I just hope this problem stops soon because these admins don’t deserve this kind of treatment.

Aw no at least to me i'm perfectly fine with it. It be cute to play as Cream, because Cream was my first exposure to "oh hey, there are other characters???" And they told me it was because they were for admins / testers for the game. I was just like "oh ok" And played a bit more till i left. Havent seen others aside from that person who was Cream after. I just understand its for people who helped develop this remake project, it sounds like a fun reward honestly. And i like being Sonic, tails, tails doll and Mecha knuckles anyway. I'm just happy to play a game i use to play with my brother on the game cube when i was a kid; ye know from Sonic Gems Collection. Fun memories. I thank you and the team

My first question upon seeing a random Shadow model when playing the other day was of course how to unlock it. Once the player let me know it's a skin exclusive to admins who helped in the game's beta testing, I went on my merry way and kept playing. I can understand if someone feels a little jealous when they don't get to play with skins of characters they enjoy but it's no reason to get aggressive towards the admins when all they're doing is displaying that they've helped make the game what it is and were rewarded for their work.

The fact about harassment of admins is and will be totally wrong, even if the idea of ​​new content sounds promising, admins do not deserve harassment by stupid characters. Sonic R-echarged is impressive, but on the other hand is harassment and i'm glad you stood up for your admins that day. I do have a suggestion for an playable admin character (or two)! I would say ray and might from sonic mania, ray would be a skin of knuckles because of their type of glide ability and mighty probably would just be put for metal knuckles or just knuckles, if thats too many skins. You do not need to take this suggestion, it is entirely your game, and your choice. I started playing Recharged and i LOVE this game to bits!! It's very fun and is honestly more polished than the original. I'm glad that you guys think that Shadow doesn't fit because you are right, he's a modern character. I think that Fang and the green duck and bear (sorry i forgot there names) would ne great additions along with the Chaotix as they were in that time period. But there should be no rush whatsoever and you guys should be able to do your magic without being harassed. Sorry that this is long but just wanted to show my appreciation for the game and devs 😊

Non related to the theme (talking about that , damn) But i think a good option will be to include the pop the balloons mode from the official sonic r multiplayer , it could be really fun if handled like You got a lobby right? What if everytime you get out of the map , there's still the thematic of the level you played before , and there's balloons at random location, or even in the tracks like in the normal sonic r! Funnily enough I've actually seen an admin using Shadow in a server one time. I thought having those characters added as skins would be cool, though I completely understand the reasoning for not wanting to add them since it would mess up the theming going on with the remake. Seriously hope you guys will continue working on the game, I've been having a blast so far even with just the base game's content! The work you guys put in to remaking the entire project and rebalancing everything is a level of dedication anyone can respect.

So basically, when i enter the game and stuff, it is all normal, but when the race starts, at some point, the game would just start crashing, like, the textures getting low quality, the character disappear, and the game freeze, i don't know what this is, but if it's a bug, please try to fix it, I really wanna play this game normally.

Hey rosy, I have an idea for the game I'd like to pitch. Since as youve stated, Shadow, Rouge, and other modern characters will not be added to the games. But how about a skin system? Sonic could have shadow, Knuckles could have Rouge, and there are other possibilities as well, like adding the already existing character's modern appearances as skins.

I wanted to give some feedbacks, it's not related to the video, I'm reall sorry you guys are passing through this But I think it would be really cool if the hub world was entirely Sonic Jam's hub world, it has Sonic Jam's textures and music but it is an entirely new hub world I think having Sonic Jam's "Sonic World" would give more meaning to the "World" option on the selection menu, if it had the missions you also have on Sonic Jam it would be even better, it would be fun to do while waiting for the current race to end and would be a cool extra to do if you select the world option, it would also make playing as kartless Amy really nice Also rewarding the player for completing all the missions with a new character would be cool, like in Sonic Jam when you complete all the missions and a giant ring spawns that takes you to the credits I also think an "spectate" option if possible would be really cool, this one is more simpler so if one of those make into the game I think this one would be the one that has more chance of doing it

K but... If people have fair points, why the only feedback as a counter point is the fact those skins are made only for admins? Not adding much to the argument... Gatekeeping content for a few people isnt the best choice and I was hyped in seeing the game and the possible skins that could come if that wasnt the choice. Admin characters like Shadow, Rouge, and Cream are not being added mainly due to the fact that they are not canon due to being modern characters. I know some people may call this argument illogical or unreasonable (it might be-), but I want this game to at least have new content fit in with the already existing content when added. Also, new content is already on its way, so people will be able to enjoy it!

Oh, you have to find all 5 sonic tokens in the map during a race! After the race, you will be sent to a challenger race! You have to place higher than the challenger in the race in order to unlock them!

I seriously hope that other players stop doing stuff like that, it's annoying and dumb. also, small question: are other classic characters getting added? (for example, Mighty, Ray, Honey, Fang, etc) I understand if you wanna keep the game with only the ones that have appeared in the original Sonic R, but it'd be cool to see them as well.
