to be honest, I think that Gavin Wallace will be much more valuable if hes able to fulfill his potential. The money is not the problem right now. It`s more about the player pool hes able to interest, so getting wallace as a good quality homegrown player could be crucial going forward

Only problem with bringing in Hussey to train at wing back is his 6 marking and 8 tackling. Long ways to go to have him as a 3rd choice wing back who only plays on the right side. Not sure Jack could bring him in and loan him to a side where he would get playing time to keep him progressing enough for sell on value.

Gavin Wallace's polygon has gone monster in the physical, defending and mental attributes! Love to see it, he is no longer a liability defensively. Marking of 12 and 15 positioning, exccellent for a player with his speed and dribbling ability, nice.

Hussey definitely looks like he could play wingback, attacking for sure but doable... or just play him at right wing instead of one of the strikers in the 3-4-3, a little assymetry never hurt anyone

Still mantain going to 4 at back will be beneficial in the long term, current players are adaptable and are more likely to find english players to fit the system.

Nah once he went into ME breaking tactics (3 strikers, 2 attacking wing backs and a Segundo Volante) it doesn't really make any difference. You can take a below average team with ME breaking tactics and get them near the top instantly without even managing them. And before you come at me that this isn't a Match Engine breaking tactic, go and check Mustermann's streams where he regularly talks about how he made so many tests so that he could create a tactic with as little "meta" as possible. His findings are that the issue with the match engine is that if you overload the backline with more than 4 players (there are 5 in this tactic, possibly 6) the defenders a) don't know how or who to mark which is already a problem as defenders don't mark nearly enough as they should and b) there is no avenue to ever break the pressing and c) you could do this for the whole match which negates the main drawback of real life football where a team cannot possibly keep up the same tempo all the time. So while I was happy that Jack elected to go against the meta, I am afraid that from now on this is going to be another cake walk where it doesn't really matter what players he buys or sells.

​@@RA_Vencher26I think as soon as he decided to go with the meta, this series has lost all of its interest regarding the tactical side. Now it's just a waiting game for the reputation to rise. It doesn't matter if you play against Liverpool or Bournemouth, if you use meta tactics the approach will always be the same. Even if he keeps 3 atb or 4. Basically if you play the meta, you don't care about tactical solidity or proper football talk. It's unfortunate and honestly my interest has wained a bit
