Welcome to the second October washing machine video! I’ve got a ton of fresh content for you guys but unfortunately absolutely no time to edit any of it. So today we’re back with a bonus washing machine video! We’re taking a look at what a full capacity load looks like with the extra heavy normal cycle on the Admiral belt drive. This cycle does not have an actual rinse, it instead defaults to “spray rinses” which do absolutely nothing. And no, the “spray rinse cycle” does not get any longer if the load is larger, they’re all the same. All in the name of efficiency! Because running a machine for an hour is so efficient…

I have lived in a couple of mobile homes throughout my life and the drain resonance sound in those standpipes sounded like this one

Now, that's what I call, "that's a real final spin at high speeds".

My goodness, that took way too long to turn over! You can probably forget about washing bedding in that thing. If it had the other straight vane agitator, or even the dual action one, the turnover would be better.

On the last final spin, the pump is on for 3 minutes and spins without the drain pump for 2 minutes and then stops.

That’s fairly obvious. Most machines run the pump intermittently on the final spin to machine more “efficient”.

How come you don’t do rinse and spin?
@seana806
@seana806 Жыл бұрын
‘Cause the hoodies needed to be properly washed. Try doing a rinse and spin with heavily soiled jeans, won’t really do much and some of the heavy soil will be rinsed away but need a proper wash with detergent to get things cleaned. Only time you would do a rinse and spin is if you want to do a extra rinse on a machine that doesn’t have a extra rinse available or as a form of prewash on a max JJ w that doesn’t have a prewash feature on it.

It's been a while since I've seen one of these belt drive machines running so I decided to settle in. I forgot how utterly ABYSMAL the wash action was! Question: Did you actually want the hoodies to be clean or just wet so they can be dried? Compare and contrast that with what the machine wanted.

Well I wanted them clean, but all I got was wet clothes with detergent still in them because apparently 2 minutes of “spray rinsing” is enough for a load like this. Such a disappointment they never should have quit the production of the direct drive. And don’t even get me started on the 2 low speed spins it does before the final spin. Super energy efficient right there… Just wait until you see the delicate cycle this thing has

@@DaSamNudge Apparently, the Admiral wasn't very admiraBlE. For the delicate cycle, I think you're better off saving a step and not even using it. My sister and I used to say that when we'd find corn in the toilet, we always said it would be better to put the corn in there directly and save a step.

@@DaSamNudge you are better off getting a old school belt drive like my 1963 RCA Whirlpool Imperial Mark XII washer. Will never have issues with things not getting cleaned and everything is built into the timer and literally all you have to do is select the water level, select a cycle, turn the timer until it stops, push to start. That’s literally all there is to operating my ‘63 Whirlpool belt drive washer.

@jaykay18 I have a Maytag Centennial model basically identical to this one and I never cared for the delicate cycle because of the slow agitation pattern so if I have something that I need a slow spin on I typically is the casual cycle which gives the heavy duty or normal cycle agitation pattern but the slow spin of the delicate cycle which I prefer over the delicate cycle
