Hi Mike , Another great video, The dmu is a bit of a puzzle a few people have wondered why it’s not running, it seems to be in the workshop @ Minehead most of the time, a Hst is Due to run on the line over the weekend , also talk of the wsr maybe having a hst permanently on line although that could be a while away.

I know the HST planned to be on the line on Sunday. . Do you have any info on timings for some other day I wonder?

@@ADMIRALSCORNER GWR ‘Castle’ Class HST set will be operating on the WSR during the Saturday of the forthcoming SUMMER DIESEL FESTIVAL and will also be in use on Sunday 9th. I don't have have any timings am afraid , They maybe on gala timetable . If i hear anything i will post on here for you.

No, but its a mechanical system where the signalman turns a large wheel to move the gates.

Ohhh NO🥹.. what's all this then ? A DM invasion or something..? Not a single steam loco in sight .... I've never seen so many DM 's in such a short space of time . What's going on ... Those diesel things should be banned from the WSR . Keeping it a steam only enterprise.... Blue Anchor is my favourite of all the stations along that line ... It brings memories back of when I was younger and spent a week or so with my auntie who lived in that big house called " The Retreat" in Blue Anchor Bay road next to the station ...it's such a pretty spot which meant I was looking at the station instead of those awful DM things 😃.... a good video as always Mike .. but keep it steam 🚂 ....

When we were looking for a house in this part of the world we got seriously interested in The Retreat which was for sale at that time but in the end couldn't get enough Mortgage for that to happen. There is a great view from there of the railway and the coast.

It's the Diesel Gala weekend that's why there are so many Diesels and no Steam.
