To the song and the rather "honest" lyrics; it triggered a rather big controversy in Japan because it sarcastically and harshly criticizes work culture, one of the pillars of Japanese society. The fact that a, at that time, 17 year old girl sings it only poured oil in the fire because work is still one of the most male-dominated parts of Japanese society and the vast majority of people in charge are between 50 and 65 year old men.
