I saw your comment about masking. If you’re still wondering this video will explain a bit of that process: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g4Szp3dmq9CFeK8 Doing a precise mask is helpful, but not critical. More importantly, you need to keep as much of the original background as possible when removing in photoshop. Don’t just press content aware in Ps and call it done. If you have more of the background from another frame, use that to remove the object. If not then clone it and rebuild it very precisely, and make sure to remove areas you may have painted over the original background.

very nice tutorial. I had and idea though which may remove your use of the secondary tracking and null object. instead of just rotoscoping the cameraman for the content aware fill, maybe try doing the same thing to a chunk of the audience where ghosting may occur. so that ghosting can happen further out that you can remove with a mask. then rotoscope the audience's heads back in.

Nicely Done! Quick question f anyone knows... Can you create different more than one reference frame at different points in the timeline so if the video changes drastically, the content aware has more to work with? I have tried this but maybe I'm missing something or it's not possible. Thank you!
@CodyPyper4 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! And yes you absolutely can. That’s actually the best way to do it in my opinion. Here’s another tutorial I made breaking that process down: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g4Szp3dmq9CFeK8
@CodyPyper4 жыл бұрын
In addition to that tutorial here’s a quick note that helped me tremendously when I’ve worked with clips that change drastically: you may want to break it up into sections instead of doing one long fill layer. Maybe at different points where a big change happens, so the content aware fill is filling in similar data inside of each section. Does that make sense?
@blaylock19784 жыл бұрын
@@CodyPyper Ah, so break it up into several comps that eventually stitch together into one clip?

@@CodyPyper Of course you made a tutorial breaking down that exact thing. Ha. Thank you! Your example was the best I've seen explaining the process too.
@CodyPyper4 жыл бұрын
You can do it that way if it’s a big clip, might be easier to keep it organized. But in the past I’ve kept it in the same comp and just worked left to right and changed the work area to only create the fill layer for each small section at a time

@CodyPyper5 жыл бұрын
Thanks! And yes I think I know what you mean, the best way to fill it will be a mix of using AE Content Aware fill, and then taking some pieces to overlay over top of where AE messed up. Either creating clones in photoshop or in AE, you'll have to manually create and track some of the fixes on there. It's really tough but short of recreating something in a 3d environment, it's the best way I know how to do it!

How can I use this plugin for AE 2018 if I don't have it?
@JohannFollert4 жыл бұрын
Hey cody, for those moving shots reverse stabilization is a great technique. u can achieve that easily with mocha and cc powerpin!
@CodyPyper4 жыл бұрын
Nice! You think that would work on a shot like this? And would you stabilize and then do the removal?
@JohannFollert4 жыл бұрын
@@CodyPyper exactly! have you tied it yet?
@CodyPyper4 жыл бұрын
Not yet, I’ll let you know if I do and how it goes!
@javitzproductions2 жыл бұрын
I see it took you about 4 hours. Not sure if you had something else going on that made you have to pause and take longer, but I think with mocha and the sweet plugin "mocha import plus" either you or I could do it in less than 2 hours and have a slightly better final result. If you accept my challenge, send me the high quality clip and I will do a screen recording.

I like it Javitz. What’s your email? I’d like to see what you can do with it. Loser buys the other creator a coffee

Can you do it again with ca 2020?
@CodyPyper4 жыл бұрын
I do have a video I’m about to release for CAF 2020 explaining the new “lighting correction” check box. Is that what you’re referring to or nah

Hi bro i cant success to remove properly the watermark without getting any shadow what can i do?i try do remove logo watermark on the middle of the screen and this "improvemnet" still distract the view
@CodyPyper5 жыл бұрын
Why are you trying to remove a watermark?
@yovelshoval51395 жыл бұрын
its matter?
@CodyPyper5 жыл бұрын
Just trying to help you achieve your goal, so knowing why you’re trying to remove it would help me better help you. Best way to remove a watermark is paying the owner of the content. If not, you’re probably stuck with the watermark honestly, unless you want to go frame by frame and remove it manually. But I would assume it would be better to just pay for it considering how long that would take, and your time is (probably) worth more than the cost of the footage

Hi I'm having an issue where I keep getting this error message "All target frames are completely opaque (no holes to fill). The Content-Aware-Fill layer generation for Comp (name of comp) has been aborted". I'm sure I'm doing everything right and I don't know what's wrong
@CodyPyper4 жыл бұрын
Thanoes hey - that usually happens when your mask is not set to “Subtract”. Check to make sure that your mask is on subtract and try generating the fill layer again. Does that fix it?
@1DarrenChoy4 жыл бұрын
@@CodyPyper Wow this is really good!! What happens when you set it to subtract but its still unable to generate frames? I'm also having an issue with content aware generating blank frames..
@CodyPyper4 жыл бұрын
@@1DarrenChoy Hmm, I haven't seen that yet. Make sure your work area bar is set to the right part of the timeline. I might try starting a new comp and copying and pasting the mask to that to see if that helps. If not, try a whole new project, new comp, add footage, and do a really simple mask set to subtract and then do content aware - does it still generate blank frames? That could rule out a few different issues that it might be
@natearts4 жыл бұрын
@Cody Pyper just wanted to say, I'm having the same issue, haven't found a solution yet...
@CodyPyper4 жыл бұрын
Gotcha - and you’re sure that it’s on subtract? Can you see through to the transparent checkerboard? Also is your work area bar over your footage?
