I`m sorry but that is not surround sound u are copying front to back meaning that if a man shoots left front u will hear it also on the left back even though u change the volume u don`t "hear" the shot from the left back if he should stand in the back because it will then again be in the front loudly and low on the back ...... that is quadraphonic sound not surround 5.1, The idea of 5. 1 is " hearing" where the sound is coming from so u can pinpoint where it comes from. U cant say I double the mono sample and it becomes stereo ..this is exactly the same not even lower or change any volume in the back.
