Adobe Photoshop Generative Expand tool

In this video, we explore the capabilities of the new Generative Expand Tool in Photoshop Beta (25.0.2), due to the resolution restriction of the Generative expand tool, I am only using JPG images in this video, so I have not shared them as you are able to use this tool on any image that you have.

I still have better luck using generative fill to change the image size - the line doesn't become an issue. Still a good video. PS will just keep getting better.

I would recommend a Mac, they may not seem faster on paper or benchmarks, but they are far more fluid in the delivery of Lightroom and Photoshop, plus they can render 4k videos without concern. Depending on your budget, I would recommend one of the M chip Macs with a minimum of 16GB of RAM. Thank you for your comment 😀

amie, I have learned a lot from you. I really enjoy your technics. This time, when I went to Paris for a few days, I was so inspired by your work and my learning that I took one camera, one lens, and no tripod. I shot during the daytime, came home, and turned day into night. My question for you is this. I love to light Lamps and windows with your style. So I make a radial gradient, say on a lamp, and light it up with increasing exposure. Then I subtract the frame and surrounding with a brush, no feather, and 100% flow. But when I use 'click one place and shift-click in a straight line,' I do get a straight line, but the brush line is 50% lighter than if I did try to paint in a straight line. Is that because I use Wacom and has pressure sensitivity? What do you suggest I do?

Thanks for the comment and question. I think it could be one of two issues, pressure sensitive Wacom, as you suggest, or you have the pointer settings set to feather in the settings, no sure if you are windows or Mac, but I have seen this problem before on a friends Mac.

I haven't really had the "line" problems with the expand on a PC.

Photoshop Beta 25.0.1 did not do it either, however, 25.0.2 seems to have the issue, lets see how things develp 😀

@@jamiermathlin Try overlap the selection by several pixels before generate fill to get rid of the lines, might help. great work again.
