Yes, it is now available in the standard Photoshop, but as you say remaining lo-Res 1024 x 1024 pixels only. But as I show in my videos, do small areas one at a time and it can work very well. 😀

@@jamiermathlin 😂 Jamie, I fully understand. When I’m working on such an image, it takes me at least 3 or 4 hours, always trying this and that 😆🙈. Besides, I have a hint for you, instead of deleting the layer at 22:15 you might click on „Flatten image“ and all layers are merged into one proper background (meaning the special type of layer, not simply typed „background“) layer. That’s my workflow, I keep all layers during editing, that makes it possible to fix final glitches if you find some at the end of edit. The very last step is „Flatten image“. That has a huge impact on the file size also. 😅

Hi Mike, I use a MacBook Pro 16" with M1 Max Processor and 32GB of RAM, 1TB SSD. I changed over from Windows machines a few years ago, as regardless of how much RAM or CPU power you have Lightroom always slowed down after 10 or so Radials, a friend recommended Apple and lent me his machine for a month, and it was frankly a game changer. The problem with comparisons between Windows and Mac's on KZbin is that they use benchmarks to test performance, if you use benchmarks then windows machines always seem very comparable, but when you use them yourself for work you realise. Also, bare in mind that I am screen recorded at 4k at the same time as doing the processing. I can even render a 4K video in the background at the same time if I want to and the fan hardly comes on, and it can all be done on battery if needed and you still get 6-8 hours, The new M-chip Macs are frankly astounding!

Hi Jamie Thank you very much for your excellent tutorials. I think I must check several days a week to see if you’ve made any new tutorials. Amazing Tutorial. Thank you! I have a question... what photo file do you first use to edit in LR? it looks like it is an ARW file?
@jamiermathlin
@jamiermathlin Жыл бұрын
ARW and CR3 are Sony and Canon RAW file formats. So when I import into Lightroom I use the 'copy' function, not the 'copy as DNG' option, then I can work directly with the RAW file, hope this is helpful 😀

@@jamiermathlin I am wondering at your thoughts on how photoshop generative AI is going to cost more you will only get 100 credits per month and every AI you use will cost one credit you have the option of buying 100 extra credits per month for $5 U.S. or have the option of running out of credits and they slow down the processing time of generative AI so what now takes 1 min could take 15 min when your credits run out I am not sure how i feel about this and with the amount of generative Ai things you did in this last image if would of cost about 20 credits for one image what are your thoughts. I am of course talking about this based on the photographer’s bundle with 20gb

@@DMW5533 Now the dust has settled a little, and we have a clearer picture of how Adobe are going to charge for their server time in respect to Generative Fill, I thought I would answer your question; as you may know there was a lot of people who responded to adobe about this issue, and Adobe also started to see people leave them, due to what was seen as another money grab, so for the moment they have not introduced a restriction for using Generative Fill, it is not currently clear what their plan is for 2024, but I will keep an eye on it, and if there are major changes, I will try to report them in one of my future videos. For now use the features as much as you like 😀
