I’m in the process of adopting a 12 yo boy as a single dad with a teenager and 3 crazy cats , I originally looked into 5-9 but after a matching event I opened my parameters and was matched This is faith stop thinking about it and give a child a good loving home, GOD will bless you with what you need and guide you on the journey

It is sad that so many children are waiting for families. If there was a way to streamline the home study process and cut the time down from 6 or 7 months to 2 or 3 months, it might help bring in more adoptive families. I just consider it as what I need to do to adopt, but I can see some people being intimidated or put off by the process. We don't ever want to place children in bad homes, but we may have gone overboard in screening families that want to adopt.
