Lets face it ..if a couple of girls just come and say we are breaking contract and we dun need to pay penalty because the company broke our trust.. Then everyone in kpop can do that already. Its always like that . when you are rookie you are Grateful to the agency for debutting you, then when you are super popular, you feel entitled to be like a Superstar and have your demands fulfilled or you will leave.

So the label owns the videos and if it wants to release them, it has the legal right to do so. The minor age of the trainees makes no difference, according to Korean law. But even if Ador itself had leaked NJ's private videos, it certainly would not be a valid reason to terminate the contract without paying 300 million dollars. Penalties are not eliminated so easily, but only if the label has done something really serious. To be honest, I am not aware of any idol who unilaterally terminated the contract without paying the penalty.

I can understand the issue about the foundation of trust from artist-agency. Imagine, the agency have invested and spent a lot - millions - in debuting a group. I don't believe in mhj taking all the credits of nj success coz debuting alone as a hybe group, or a group from any of the big 3, already creates a huge fuss and privilege for the group. Why do you think mhj was mad that nj didn't become the first gg to debut under hybe? Cos that was a very big privilege. The comfort they had experienced as a hybe artist, the money spent for their mvs and outfits, the brands that approached them and the path that was already cleared with minimal to no obstacles that they had walked on, do you think a rookie group from an unknown company can have that? It would take double efforts if they debuted from a nugu company. That's why it's frustrating to see minji, danielle and hanni vocally supporting mhj and downplaying ador. What really did the ador do to you that makes it valid for you to dislike them? From the very start, you were not open to being handled by the new ador, you were already negative about it. We all know that it's difficult to talk to close-minded people coz they already have something set on their mind. Nothing else was complained aside from the "bullying" from belift. But from ador itself, no mistreatment was laid down. Even a student's absence needs a "valid" reason. So what really is their reason? Not being handled by mhj anymore? Is that even valid? The contract is between ador and nj, not mhj and nj. We do not know the details of their contract. But based on the demands alone, it was against and for a third party. Not between nj and ador. I will accept the termination if they paid the fee, but they also avoided that. So let's be open-minded and rational, let's place ourselves in ador's situation, will you let go of the million dollars you have invested in? -reposted

@@RaggyRaccoon The company did nothing, the girls did everything. The girls sued the company and lost the case. It was the judge who decided, not the label. After losing, Keena went back to the label, said she wanted to reconnect and that she regretted having sued. The label forgave her and their working relationship continued. The other three refused to reconnect with the label and so the label terminated their contracts. Since they had been contacted by Warner, they thought their careers were assured. But then things went differently. They were not punished: if you sue your label, it is obvious that the label will terminate the contract, there is no longer the possibility of working together.

I think it's a trap to NewJeans and any company or party that might be thinking of making business with them. If NJ do activities or sign any deal then the court agrees with Ador that the contracts is still valid then NJ would have breach their exclusive contract and anybody who did business with them will face legal action. Am not sure anybody will risk it and do any business with them now untill the court makes their decision will will probably be 2-3 years from now.

NJ intervened in the legal dispute between Hybe and MHJ in May, each filing a signed petition to the court to prevent Hybe from firing MHJ. So it is obvious that Hybe began to look at them with suspicion. They tried to get Seventeen in trouble by blabbering about a lack of respect, which later turned out to be non-existent. They pissed around about the Chairman did not greet them. Note that in Milan Hanni was kept at a safe distance by Jin, who she has never met. They tried in every way to boycott Illit. They publicly showed total support for MHJ in their acceptance speeches, it is an insult their managers and Hybe. They plastered their floor with Aespa stickers. They did a live without the label's permission, addressing their managers in a disrespectful manner and giving a ULTIMATUM. Reason enough to be dissolved and sent home immediately, in addition to being reported for breach of contract. They audited in the parliament and went after another Hybe label, for a bul**hit. And Ador did not sue them, so it is not cornering them. You know what the way out was? Mind their own business and focus on working, instead of siding against Hybe for no fu*king reason. And you know why they did it? Out of greed, because the people behind them promised them that they will make more money with their label. It is the EXACT SAME scenario as the Fifty Fifty, and it will have the same result.

They ruined their career themselves.The whole feud was between hybe and min heejin but they unnecessarily got involved into it.They were just just ignored by staff members and they named it mistreatment and work place bullying(like wtf).They were mainly Hybe artists but they went against their own company because of that woman like for no valid reason actually.They should have never got involved into this mess but they invited all the drama themselves and now they will solely face the consequences.

If they have enough money to pay for their apartment, transport, security, producers, songwriters, recording, promotion, producing MV’s, costumes, hair and makeup, they can go it alone. But that probably means they would have enough money to pay the penalty and try and get signed up with an agency that is willing to do all that for them.

New Jeans say they have made more $$ to repay the investment cost to the company, so what? You think the agency makes idol groups just to get back their investment? They want to get back MANY times of their investment..if they invested 100mil won, they would want the group to make them 600mil or more .. And so even the group lets say made them 200m won and more than repaid the investment, that doesnt mean they can just break the contract and not pay penalty.. i know ADOR isnt the angel here but i dun think NJ should leave without any payment of contract breach If you want out.
