I don't think Adora acts "dumb" in these scenes. She's more "Awkward", given that she was basically raised to be a living weapon and didn't develop much social skills (that didn't involve Catra). I mean, the fact that she memorized hundreds of years of etiquette for the Princess Prom like it was nothing shows she's very intelligent. Except the infected sword scenes, she basically becomes an Absolute, Walking Window-licking Nugget in those scenes lol.
