That's why a lot of journalists suck. Most really don't have much passion for or knowledge of the things they cover. A lot of people say "Those who can't do, teach", but that's a ridiculous saying. Some teachers "can't" but most teachers absolutely can. Lots of former professionals move to teaching because they have a passion for teaching and just wanted a change of pace. I personally think the saying should be "Those can't do get into journalism."
