Some of their songs have over 2.2 billion views, and they’ve won Grammy Awards. They’re not just famous in America but are adored worldwide. Their music is primarily rooted in rock, but they’re known for transcending genres, which has garnered them a wide range of supporters. Collaborating with a Japanese artist for a remix is apparently quite rare for them. According to some online sources, this might even be their last collaboration with another artist. It’s truly impressive! Understanding the Difference Between a Cover and a Remix I had a simple question: What’s the difference between a cover and a remix? After looking into it, I learned that: A cover is when an artist performs another artist’s song in their own way, respecting the original melody and lyrics but incorporating their unique style. A remix, on the other hand, uses the original audio and adds new sounds, arrangements, or instruments to create a different atmosphere. Ado-san, as a vocalist, often does covers, so at first, I thought this might fall into that category. My Impressions of the Remix Having listened to the original song beforehand, I assumed Ado-san would participate by singing in English. However, when I listened to the remix, I was blown away-Ado-san sings in Japanese! Her Japanese vocals sound so cool that they almost feel like English at times. This song feels like it expands the possibilities of the Japanese language. It perfectly embodies Ado-san’s desire to “share Japanese culture with the world.” Many fans seem to feel the same way. What’s even more incredible is that the lyrics in Japanese were written by Ado-san herself. This remix transforms the song into something completely new, showcasing another side of her artistry. I’m so grateful to Imagine Dragons for bringing out this new charm in Ado-san as a vocalist. On the Lyrics The song’s title translates to “Take Me to the Sea.” When interpreting the English lyrics, I felt it carried the nuance of encouraging someone to let go of rigid plans or instructions and simply follow their heart to go where they want to go. When Ado-san’s Japanese lyrics come into play, they align with the original’s meaning but add a new dimension. For example, the line “Who should I become?” sung by Ado-san stood out to me. Since she wrote the lyrics herself, I wondered if that sentiment reflects her own feelings in some way (just my speculation). It feels deeply personal and adds complexity to the song. The combination of English and Japanese creates a unique depth, allowing for a broader range of interpretations. It feels like a song that truly deserves to be shared with the world. Imagine Dragonsは10年前くらいに爆発的人気を得て、現在もファンが多いバンド。私も好きです。ですからコラボしたと聞いた時は、かなりの衝撃と喜びでした🎉 実際に出来上がった曲も私的にはかなり好きでヘビロテ中😍 アメリカ滞在中に収録かと思いきや、実はその前に日本で完了していたそうですね😮

@@Ado_osi_Ozisan そうですね！私はAdoちゃんの曲のリアクションビデオを見るのが大好きで、この曲のリアクションも既に１０件は見てますが、そのほとんどはAdoちゃんファンKZbinrなので正直Imagine Dragonsファンの感想の実態はまだ個人的にはよく掴めていないのですが、その中でもAdoちゃんを知らない人もいて、やっぱり彼女のすごさに感心してました。日本語というのも、予想以上に好感度のようです。（実は、現在アメリカ人は驚くほど親日家が多いのです！）正直、アメリカは特にヒップホップやラップで溢れていて(息子は大好き)、ボーカルの歌唱力に重点をおく私はどうもゲッソリしてきたこの１０数年のアメリカの音楽シーンでした。そんな中で私のように違う音に飢える人が、彼女のような新風に巡り合って「何だこれは！？」と愕然として歓迎しているというのが私の印象です。もちろん、アジア人の音楽が「一般の」アメリカ人に知られるのは、まだまだ時間がかかるかとは思いますが、これからが本当に楽しみです。そしてAdoちゃんなら出来る、と信じています。（あ、そうそう、曲中のAdoちゃんの発音、抜群です！！）

実際、米国の多くの音楽プロデューサーが ADO の曲に対するリアクションビデオを作成し、肯定的なレビューを与えています。 8か月前、アメリカのオンラインラジオDJがイマジンドラゴンズのマネージャーにYT【LIVE video】踊ったさいたまスーパーアリーナ 2022.8.11【Ado】のクリップを勧めました。その後、マネージャーはADOをアメリカの音楽市場に導入すると報告したが、12月16日、その言葉通りになった。
