A nice story, good to see a real business shouting out its morals and beliefs. I remember in the late eighties, insuring modified cars, friends would ask how do you get insured? My reply was simply, I talked to the guy at Adrian flux, who asked what I had done, what I had used and a few other questions, and invariably came back with a fair price and always a yes. No tick boxes in the eighties.... Very similar now, still insuring the same modified mini, but I get to talk to a helpful and knowledible young lady instead :-)

Paid £1800 to Adrian Flux to insure my Mk1 Fiesta XR2 replica in 1993/4 and it still hurts today knowing I paid that much when my entire earnings were £550 a Month. I then tried to transfer cover to my Mk1 Escort and for some reason the guy thought I was being dodgy and hung up on me, then cancelled my Fiesta policy. I refused to use them for the next 15 or so years until trying them again for the Escort, price and cover was good, and now 30 years since that original Fiesta policy they are still insuring the Escort. They have done very well out of me, but could have had an extra 15 years worth of premiums if it wasn't for the guy who hung up on me, yet its also fair to say I've had half of that original £1800 back through the annual price savings compared to other companies quotes.
