ive always seen poison cloud as being roided out because its one of the only cloudians thats strong enough to not die when in defense mode, though this takes all their energy to maintain hence their 0 attack, and since their body is so chiseled they have a bit of defense unlike the rest of the group

First: Great video. Keep up the good work! Second: Now that I watched the video I wonder why cloudians doesnt have any fusion cards. Like, its a perfect theme for fusion monsters, combining clouds with different attributes (literal attributes, not Yu-Gi-Oh-ones) making bigger and badder clouds.

You know, that wouldn't be a half-bad idea to give a new twist to the archetype! They definitely need SOME kind of in-archetype Extra Deck presence. Alternatively, given the potential synergy with Agents/Sanctuary In The Sky amd how many Tuners they have, you could also maybe do some Synchro stuff (even if that's less thematically appropriate than Fusion, haha).

Yeah, I've been aware of Nova for a while, but we first actually came into contact when I edited a video for HasherBrown (for one of his Custom Card Contest VODs that Nova was a part of), and we kinda both threw out the idea of working together once or twice, and finally I just went into his Twitter DMs and I was like, "Hey, we should actually do this, lol", and the rest is history 😌

I can't get mad at cloudians, they were my first deck when Master Duel opened. Back when everyone was running Utopia Double (or Nothing) OTK, I was playing with a cloudy sanctum in the sky. My favorite scenario was every 10k Utopia trying to overrun a Cirrostratus, realizing I didn't take any damage, a few dozen seconds of inactivity, and they surrendered.

cloudians are pretty playable in speed duel, because of a skill that gives you 1 extra counter every time you place one. this makes poison cloud and cirrostratus removal on normal, and aerosol having shared once per turn effects doesnt matter as much in a slower format (also, theres a 4 card combo that lets you handloop your opponent for 3 lol)

Thank god, I was so glad to hear someone else despised Adrian Gecko. I've heard a bunch of people on youtube talk about how cool they found him, and I just always wanted that guy to get punched in the dick. Was genuinely happy when Yubel beat him. Seriously that duel the entire time it feels like Yubel is the protagonist, the way they're constantly struggling against the clock and this impossible win con Gecko is trying to dump onto the field.

Oh yeah, believe you me, I've always had a sore spot for Adrian -- a lot of that is down to me getting pretty heated whenever someone knows another person has strong feelings for them and blatantly twists/manipulates those feelings for their own personal gain while having no intention of reciprocating them genuinely. I feel like Adrian is more hateable than Dartz, at least for me, but I think that comes down to how much more personal Adrian's brand of douchebaggery is -- like, yeah, Dartz wanting to wipe out humanity is OBJECTIVELY more evil, just on a grander scale, but people like Adrian exist and do their bullshit every single day in the real world. Maybe not the "trading the person that loves them for a powerful card" part, but the manipulation, the twisting of someone's emotions for their own gain, the using of supposed friends to get what they want...all of that is a very real and sometimes very personal kind of evil, so it hits home more with a lot of people.

@@SuperNerdDaniel not to mention Adrian pretty much paid the price when he stupidly pushed Yubel’s buttons, and now he’s rotting in the deepest parts of the Shadow Realm, forever. As powerful the Exodia Deck is, the one massive weakness is: you gotta get all five pieces of Exodia to win, which is really hard nowadays thanks to new Cards that can either banish or remove said Exodia pieces. Sure Exodius has broken Abilities, but unfortunately he can be removed from play, and their are Monsters with bigger Attacks Points, while he won’t be destroyed the opponent using him will still take massive damage. And that what lead to Adrian to his own grave, using too powerful cards will make you sloppy, and Adrian became so smug, he forgot he has other Cards that could’ve help him with the Duel, but Pride can lead to stagnation.

Every time I see cloudian's I don't think of Adrian I think of the duel against Klaus at the end of the first half YGO world championship 2011, if you not prepared or did not have the right cards that duel could fu up, I remember that duel being the biggest pain in the ass and it took me the longest time to win it as a kid.

I've always wanted more Cloudian support but at the same time I'm terrifyingly aware of how easy Atlus' non-once per turn hand rip would be if the deck was given any level of decent consistency tools. Unless they decide to emergency ban Atlus prior to releasing support, I don't think Konami wants to do much with them. Outside of the Fog King stuff stuck in anime limbo that's a different deck entirely outside of aesthetic & theming similarities.

isn't fog king kind of underrated in Rank 7 decks if you need another body and your engine doesn't require your one normal? sure, now you have labyrinth heavy tank, and ascended of thunder (if you can pay 3k) and psy-beast (if you have a level 7 psychic in your deck), but until recently with tank there wasn't anything better

I don't blame Daniel's animosity towards Gecko. I felt the same way. He was basically Kaiba without the wit and humor. And the fact that his story never seemed fully resolved before the series was cancelled also didn't sit well with me. As for Cloudians, they seem like the archetype of someone who wants to try to stick out by playing an exotic deck type but also knows jack-squat about deck building so they compromise. Great video but it would be hard (read: difficult) to convince me to play it.

I'm always wondering why Adrian's not in Duel Links yet. I always really liked his Cloudians too. if everyone hates him I guess that could be a reason he's not in the game yet but it just feels odd seeing all the rest of the transfer students in the line up but he's missing. but the whole GX character lineup seems odd anyways. it doesn't look like they went in order of the arcs & were just trying to get the most important characters first.

cloudians are kind of fun to play sometimes i must admit...but they need the treatment volcanics got. in addition begon naiv can be turned into a positive to gain more fog counters as they can put your cloudians back in your hand (preferrably ones that dont have any) so you can normal summon again for more counters....especially effective if you have a full cloudian board.

Effect3: This card cannot be destroyed by monster effects _______________________ Cloudy with a chance of Counters Continuous Spell Effect1: If your opponent controls more monsters than you do, special summon as many Level 4 Cloudian Monsters with different names from your Hand or GY. Effect2: OPT: Place 1 “Fog Counter” on all Cloudian Monsters for each monster your opponent controls. Thoughts?
