I love Shaddoll, my favorite archetype in the game so I gotta clarify. The reason that El Shaddoll wendigo is so bad is because since she is a powerful being that the Shaddoll had to take over by force while she was still alive, is actively fighting back against the corruption and not providing the Shaddoll with her powers. This can be seen with how she is the only El Shaddoll fusion monster that doesn't have strings coming out of her to control other Shaddoll drones, but instead is restrained by the strings tied around her body. The Shaddoll archetype has so much lore and flavor to it it's such an interesting lore read

And having a passive/defensive effect would still be lore based or even having the opposite effective with the same stats as her fusion in RBs was defensive. And then there's the fact that they already dropped the ball a bit with the original RB fusion.

invoked Dogmatika Shaddolls was my first Master Duel deck. I still remember how it was able to beat Rhongo and VFD at the same time in the early days.

Shaddolls were always one of my biggest enemies. My prime Yugioh time as well as the time I got back into playing Yugioh was when Nekroz, Shaddoll, BA triple threat meta was going on. I’m there just with my little Odd-Eyes/Magician/Performapals. My little high school meta of course was just a bunch of rogue decks minus when my Odd-Eyes became the meta and when someone had Monarchs. When I played online it was when Shaddolls started to take the lead and every duel you faced was that so I knew how to play against the deck and what a lot of their cards do. I always like it but when I face a deck so much and build up resentment for it I usually never build it because I don’t like them. Applies to basically the whatever was meta decks at the time of my main dueling periods because after high school I don’t play as often until Master Duel came out. Fast forward to now with me not being able to play my main account due to where Im living having no internet so currently just playing master duel on my phone with a brand new account doing a masochist run until I reached a point where I can’t get nowhere but still want to play so hoping over to the duel triangle. I don’t have my decks so normally I would be playing either my HEROs or Salamangreat so have to go with a loaner deck. I see that there’s a shaddoll deck available and try it out because I keep losing with the other decks I’ve tried because I don’t really know most of them. I’m having a lot of fun so many after I get far into my masochist run or until I feel like I reached a point where I just can’t go anymore Shaddolls will be one of the first decks I try and build

@chrisharte4280 here the shadows take you and you disappear, with the amorphage virus your body starts breaking and mutating into the creature. The amorphage spell and the look of the monster cards make it seem more brutal (imo).

Arguably the first fully functioning fusion deck, there were certainly archetypes before it that were fusion focused but were all prone to bricking & lacked recovery. Shaddolls were a good launchpad for fusions going forward, with other decks iterating on that knowlege , Plus the art & story is great, spooky puppet posessing others with their strings ( like toons if they were desined by Tim Burton)

Shaddoll was recently added to Duel Links, and it got its own Archive Skill (meaning every Speed Duel character can use it) "Shadow-Weaving Power"

I was building Shaddoll in Master Duel because of that one Fusion mission. After all, I pulled three Shaddoll Fusions while pulling for Zefra cards. But I kind of ran out of ideas to improve that deck. Same with Zefra. Thanks for the ideas to improve that deck, and I can craft more than one El Shaddoll Fusion too.

8:45 you’d be surprised actually if you use this to help out certain boss monsters when combined with Shekinaga since Genius would force them to activate their effects or risk them turned off which then Shekinaga negates It’s a brilliant Zeus answer in archetype or DPE back when Verte was legal

Konami like: "You can fuse by sending materials from your [hand/field/GY/deck/Extra Deck] to the [GY/banish pile/deck] with a Fusion spell, or a non-fusion spell, or often just no spell at all. Fusion materials optional." Then the other mechanics are like, "Can we banish cards from the GY for our mechanic? Or use materials in our hand?" and Konami is like, "Woah, that's a big ask there, buddy."

To be fair, Fusion at a baseline is more resource intensive than the other extra deck summoning methods (2+ monsters, sometimes specifically named, and a Fusion spell) so it makes sense Fusion is give extra resources to make them compete

5:24 Funny story when I played against a Virtual world player I used Quadshaddoll effect to give my El shaddoll Construct 400 mlre ATK get over Mathmech final sigma. I did lose the Match I did make sure Sigma fell. Also for my Shaddoll deck I run an Exodias because in testing it out I noticed that if I run out of monsters I was screwed so I ran Exodias,Pot and Jar of Averice to make sure I don't deck out and my key cards are in my deck again.

Shaddoll Genius steamrolls Yubel Loving Defender and got me out of a 10 TURN LOCK, got lucky one time but faced another player later that ran Yubel/Exodia and i misplayed it the second time around and got the Kaiba treatment 😂😂

Imma say that theres one archetype you probably missed (well, 2 actually) Krawlers! More specifically, World Legacy! World Legacy Pawns is a trap card that allows you to flip any monster at any moment you desire. Depending of how much you wanna play more Krawler, you can use Krawler Soma, who can trigger your Shaddol monster by flipping it face up and SPECIAL SUMMONING ITSELF AND 2 OTHERS SHADDOLS. One last monster not to sleep on is Deus X-Krawler, a one-sided Skill Drain for your opponent. One last card thats really cool (In NR FORMAT) is Subterror Succession. Its basically Small World, sending a monster from hand as an effect to search a flip monster or sending a flip monster to search a monster with the same attribute but lower level. 😊

As a semi-new player, I do have a question that probably seems stupid. Is this archetype good? Not necessarily as a pure Shadoll deck, but if I were to potentially use Shadoll cards with the Aleistor package and/or the Dogmatika package, could I find success in Master Duel with it? The mechanics and lore both seem super fun to me, but I'm worried that I'll spend the resources to make the deck and then have it just be unusable

Errr they are not top tier rigth now, but you can, Dogmatika Invoked can run Winda, Apklaone and Shism as an small floodgate package, Branded can use Shaddoll Beast as a Brafu target and access to Winda and Construct, saddly most of these decks do not run more maindeck Shaddoll names since their effects are sub par nowadays
