Is there any point in this video or previous one they stated their exact weight? I watched whole video but still didn't see the official weights, only Mindaugas said there was 15kg difference. So I guess Mindaugas was about 75kg while Popescu somewhere around 90kg?

@@armwarsofficial There should be official info panel for each puller in every matches (I mean in each seperated video, since people could just watched right into a match without watching previous videos), man. It's required because a lot of info change over time, like weight, age, size, etc... all those info should be show by default regardless audience know them or not.

Amazing match! Although it looked like the buckle decided the winner, IMO it was all about adjustments. Round 1 they both did what they know best, round 2 Adrian adapts to a toproll side hit, Minde underestimates him, round 3 Minde is prepared for Adrian's side hit, round 4 Adrian makes a slight adjustment by suppinating a bit to get the pin, round 5 Minde adapts and goes to a defensive counter-toproll, round 6 Adrian adapts by concentrating morr on the and and not the hand, round 7 Adrian adapts again and hits to the back rather then the side. Beautiful armwrestling by both guys! 👏💪🏻

If you watch closely Midagus is slightly supinating when he has the buckle making its more wrist to wrist during the setup, if mindagus pronated more (not caring too much Bout the webbing height) leaving a slight gap from lower palm to palm, I think he might have won 6-0

Mindaugas didn't get screwed, it's a standard rule they both would have known heading into the match. You're suggesting breaking that and giving him a guaranteed 4-3 buckle advantage because he won the 1st toss instead, which is even less fair. There's no 100% fair solution, but this is the best we've got. The only way of avoiding the issue is having no strap in that last round...but then of course we'd never actually get a last round.

It's not the piece of plastic of the buckle that really matters, it's the ref pulling down the strap on that side which means the guy on the other side gets a relative height advantage. Also being on the side away from the main ref means you can take more liberties in the setup. Ask the 2 guys if a win like this means nothing, no chance either of them agrees with that statement.

Amazing match, I dont know what is happening with the strap, but the ref is definitely doing something wrong, every single round was won by the person not having the buckle - which should not happen with the new strap setup. I dont think he managed to equal the webbing and hand height at all. Even from the angles we got, it looked like the buckle hand was pulled down every time in the setup.

I am confused on the whole buckle debate: some matches it seems like the deciding factor, yet I've heard a lot of armwrestlers say it's basically irrelevant.

Depends on the 2 arm wrestlers involved and of course the referee. In a very close match like this with 2 guys trying to top roll each other and also both guys pushing it as far as they can in the setup, it makes a big difference. If the match is being decided on power, 1 guy just being too strong, then it won't make much difference. I think top rollers probably are more affected too but I'm not 100% sure about that.

Oh okay so whoever started without the buckle, wins the match. Sucks when that happens. So in the second last round before the silver bullet, Mindaugas could just let that one go intentionally lol. OH! the silver bullet is a coin flip to see what sides... okay that's interesting. So then it's like, instead of already knowing who will win it, we're instead essentially choosing the winner based on who wins the SECOND coin flip. I don't see the point really, other than at the end being like "surprise, the other guy is now going to win instead". I suppose THESE buckle-matches are the ones where a tie is sometimes an okay outcome, depending on the event and format (but in reality the possibility for a tie is terrible and should never be allowed for). I think we seriously need some more songs during the edits. Really good production though. Mindaugas' trash-talk never feels personal... it always feels like he's just saying it as part of the game, rather than any actual venom behind it. I would think it would be hard to have it affect ya too much when he still just always comes across as a friendly, likable guy. I do have the knowledge of his intentions via the narration from the guy himself, but I think his intentions seem pretty noticeable during the match without him even needing to explain it. 10:47 is interesting how you can see whenever Adrian's shoulder is used lol.
