Not trying to be rude, when was the last time Spain was involved in a war? 1815? They stayed out of all the World Wars and to my knowledge haven’t been involved in anything significant in over 200 years. How many generations of Spanish soldiers have never seen combat? All of them. No Spanish soldier alive today, nor their fathers or grandfathers or great grandfathers have ever been in combat. If I’m misinformed, please correct me, like I said I’m not trying to be rude, I’m genuinely curious. I respect that Spain is nothing like my country and in perpetual wars for Israel and billion dollar corporation profits. The entire hardass mentality was invented in the 60's when the US needed to conscript random average joes who had spent the previous 10 years in a cushy office job to ship them halfway across the world and set random asian people on fire. It has long outlasted its original purpose and exists for no reason other than to make bloated welfare queens and other slightly-above-mediocre men feel good about themselves.
@MorpH2k Жыл бұрын
Exactly. I don't know about the Spanish SF, but generally most SF only recruit from already trained soldiers and only the very best, so the need to be that hardass drill instructor is not really as necessary when everyone is already an experienced soldier. Magnus, I really appreciated your effort in this one, because this fitness test had elements that we haven't seen in others. You're probably good at endurance from also rock climbing. Endurance running is about your body's capacity to withstand lactic acid (Causes pain), your muscles ability to utilize oxygen efficiently, and your lungs rhythm and consistency with breathing. All of these are traits you would've gained from your extensive climbing experience.

In Croatia, 1st of december every year they remember the Spanish soldiers that saved 200 croatians from being masacred. We have been in Afghanistan. @@SaltNBatteryThe United States fought in half of the world's wars, and they have only won half due to economic superiority in weapons, and yet their common soldiers are completely useless, this is an example that participating in wars does not mean having good soldiers, and Spain has been in several wars.

i really liked this spanish military guy. and magnus is a beast, as always. given the scoring system, a 6.5 is actually outrageously good. and i can't imagine what some of these special forces guys look like-- jesus. the sprinting rubric was completely outrageous-- they seriously have guys who can run 10.5 second 100m in those conditions? insane.
@62meta Жыл бұрын
10,5 sounds hard but he could get to 11 / 11,5 seconds if he trains his legs for speed and general muscle. He is a little guy who needs to have a high pace with his legs to get to higher speed. But in the video you see he has general endurance but lacks the strength in legs to push him harder forward and in a higher pace. And i know fully well that he would smoked me in sit ups, push ups and pull ups.
@helmuthvonmoltke5518 Жыл бұрын
