I had moved from Ohio and had to leave behind a Hammond A100 and an M3. After settling in my new place in Florida I saw an ad for this exact model. It was free! So I went to check it out and fell in love with it. Unfortunately I just didn't have the time to get it so it went to someone else. This was years ago and I've since become a theater organ fan and have a Thomas Palace III and a Wurlitzer 4500- sounds a bit like DSO-1 Of course you've all seen?: Alan Haven plays Hard Days Night Wow!!

Hi,for this the Leslie 145 just plugged into the back of the organ-even in 1964 it had a dedicated 6 pin output for probably leslie 45 or 145.In the later videos, weve had the organ output plugged into a interface and then into at various times,a Leslie 910,and then 2 x Leslie 815`s.The interface also allows for reverb to be added either digitally or spring. Such a dreamy sustain on those notes with the Leslie off.

Yes ,it was really good to hear this-and the organ looks immaculate-great playing-well done. I once had a Heritage for many years and have done several recordings on it. I tend to be influenced by Harry Stoneham(`two fellas to foloow`)but like the differnt sound that Alan Haven got out of the intrument too.

Very Nice playing and one of my favourite tunes of Burt Bacharac. Your Lowrey has such a lovely sound. Hope you will be uploading more soon.

Love the sound of the DSO-1. The Wurlitzer 4410/4420/4430 electrostatic 'free reed' organs have that great w/Leslie ensemble as well. IMO these Wurlis sound a bit like if a Hammond tone wheel organ crossed a Lowrey DSO-1. They have the solid flute tone, but also get a good string tone.

Hi,on the heritage it has a leslie 6 pin out so the 145 plugs in directly.

What just because Paul did a few silly belly sounds on Lucy in the Sky.Everybody i know who has one bought them because Alan Haven and harry Stoneham Jazzed it up on them.

Yes it was the same organ but a world of difference. What the Beatles used on that recording hardly justified this great instrument

Adrian Rose A musician's goal isn't to justify the instrument with what he plays on it; the instrument exists to justify the music. Instruments are vehicles (and they can be joyous ones, at that) -- but the destination is always music. Thanks for posting.
