And an A1 person, my dad was a referee and taught newcomers in '60s London I stayed at his home as a kid once, he was great with kids, just a kind and interesting person that could actually really wrestle proper!

I'm a retired pro wrestler I was in some small independent company's in the early 90 s and early 2000 s. this guy was one of my hero's when I was a kid. I'd watch him on contental championship wrestling. I loved that show verry much. I can't imagine what life would have been like without watching that show and him and baron von rouski alongside ronny garvin and Jimmy garvin. mr.street was and is an awsome entertainer. one of the best. I love you my wrong brother. you look wonderful and in good shape. God bless you and thank you for all the wonderful childhood memories. it's alot because of you I got to live my dream. I never made it big but honestly I don't think I would have loved it any more than I did if I had.thank you

@hashbeen 1985 Yes that's right, My dad stopped wrestling at 52 in 1959 then became a referee and trained newcomers for Dale Martins Productions, Adrian and Lenny Hurst became good buddies with my dad, I remember staying at Adrian's home with Jane and their kids but that was in 67 68, to me Adrian was a really good person, he like kids, and knew how to live a healthy life, but it was the 60s Lol and I'd see all the young ladies hanging around the dressing rooms, my dad would tell me, don't tell your mother! Lol hell no, me mum would have killed us all, Lol, I was 7 when my dad started taking me to all the venues in southern England each year on my summer breaks from school, he wasn't supposed to but no one told the boss lol

@hashbeen 1985 The YMCA in Montreal, but that was in 1918, my dad started pro wrestling in a carnival in Montreal, where the guy would say to the public if you can beat my wrestlers I'll give you $25, my dad was the smaller one so they would pick him lol but he could easily beat the bigger one, a carnie scam lol, My dad didn't learn catch, he learnt Olympic wrestling at the YMCA then developed his own submission holds, he told me it was about using the opponents own strength against him, my old man was born in 1907, at the time when I was 16 in 1975 and didn't bother to learn, looking back, it was my loss

Great to see Adrian still around,I used to watch him on TV and at Wrestling events around London before he went to the States . Years later I worked with a guy,a very big lad,who told me about when he was working on a building site in Truro in South West England. The guys were standing around having a break when they saw what appeared from a distance to be an effeminate-looking man get out of a Chevy Van. About 6 of them all whistling and making camp gestures at the guy,who far from being intimidated ran towards them. They soon recognised Adrian, who was billed to fight in Truro that night, with what my friend described as "that look in his eyes of a guy you really don't mess with"...........and all 6 big tough guys ran.

Adrian Street is an example of not judging a book by its cover. Seems like a great guy and surprisingly a good musician. Some of his songs should've been hits! Maybe he might not have been able to wrestle and play concerts but that whole album he showed is better than the crap people play these days. Not sure if I'd call him being 130 in Wrestler's years, I'd say he's outlived a lot of them. He's had to have been doing something right this whole time.

Adrian Street is one of my favourite wrestlers of all time. "The Merchant Of Menace" is one of those chaps who grappled as an innovator in persona, from the blond brute to the effeminate asassin to the man who first used a Piledriver through a table (on Randy Savage no less). My favourite story is that in one territory they had to turn him from scorching heel to total face as, unbeknowing to his booker, he had been looking after a small girl in hospital helping her to recover because she was a fan of his. He was in there for minor knee surgery or something like that, and local newspapers found out he was still going back way after his own rehab just to see the girl and her family to be sure they were ok.

I saw that this was done several years ago, and I sure wish that Hannibal could do another shoot with Adrian, because this is one of those kind of shoots that I would've loved seeing go longer than the 36:00 it did! There's a lot of Adrian's life and career that wasn't even talked about!! There's a lot of people that may not agree with the character Adrian portrayed, but if you're a true fan of Professional Wrestling, you have to respect his accomplishments, and just how much he contributed to the sport!💯 I'm sure you'll find a few guys in the business that didn't like Adrian, but everyone in the business that I've heard talking about him, the one's that both worked with, and knew him personally, they all pretty much say the same thing about how Adrian really was a BMF, and not the type of guy who you'd want to fuck with and piss off!! I saw a video somewhere here on KZbin when Adrian was working in Continental wrestling, that someone had recorded off some local news channel back in the mid 80's, where this news station was doing a report about this little girl who had cancer, was dying, and didn't have a whole lot of time left! The little girl was a fan, and very much loved and adored Adrian & Linda, so this little girls Mother reached out to the local news channel and explained her little girls situation, and about how much she loved Adrian & Linda! So the news people reached out to the promotion, and as soon as it was brought to Adrian & Linda's attention, the next day they both went to the hospital and surprised her with not only a visit, but they came bearing gifts as well!! You could sure tell that it made that little girls day just from the smile on her face! Seeing that gave me a whole new level of respect for Adrian & Linda! It's cool to see that Adrian & Linda are still together, and looking great after all these years!!👍God bless em both!!
