She was ultra talented. She fell into the cracks of not being able to be classified. She wasn’t hip hop, she wasn’t jazz, she wasn’t R and B. She was a bit of all of them. Similar to Kid Creole from the 80s, radio stations didn’t know how to promote her album. I still have this CD.

I think the music died in the late 2000s. I was just catching a B-Movie from the 90s on tv and the R&B there is fantastic. Really they don't make this type of music anymore.
