I remember when this came out in the mid 90's. My Mom who appreciated original music was impressed too. So much that when I would take her shopping, it was in heavy rotation in her car that I would driver her around in. It also impressed me so much, that myself and my production/business partner/close friend went from strictly djing, mcing and sampling as beat makers to incorporating real music into our sound. As a result, my production partner and I received a production deal based on us changing up our style. Much Respect To Adrianna Evans and Jonathan "Dred" Scott.

My Brother & I @wshakesphere Discovered Adrian Evans on a Sick Track Called "Check The Vibe" by Dread Scott, She was First Featured On His Album "Breakin' Combs" back in 1994. The two were a team and he Produced her Debut Self Titled Album "Adriana Evans" in 1997. Man I remember driving around the city BANGING her Album and turning heads everywhere I went and people stopping me asking Who Dat U Playin", that Jawn Banging, my bro & I put so many people on to her. Whole Album 5 Stars, Every Track From Beginning to End, can't fast forward not One Song on this Album. I remember Adriana Evans & Erykah Badu Being The First Queens Of Neo-Soul around that time 1997, man what a Time to be Alive. So No she wasn't slept on by the ones that followed and knew good music, Adriana you will Always & Forever be One Of The Greatest To Ever Do It.

Good Point! I didn't forget about D'Angelo, I just loved Adriana's voice and the album as a whole. 3T's Sons of Soul was tight, but music had a different vibe when it cam to Erykah, D'Angelo, Adrianna, Maxwell, etc...BTW, totally forgot about the artists in the UK! All good points!

To this day...one of my top 3 favorite albums. And this is BY FAR, the most slept on album of all time. It got totally lost in the hurricane that was Baduizm which was released in February '97. This one dropped 2 months later and simply got tragically overlooked. Thats a shame because 27 years later it still bangs!
