We were in the middle of a bad heat wave - remember this was the era when almost nobody had air conditioning in their houses, let alone in cars or churches. After reading the gospel, Father Murray then addressed the congregation - after a dramatic pause -with this sermon "If you think this is hot, imagine what Hell is like."

I try to be a practicing Christian in my own home. A reader of the Bible amongst the congregation in Bible study can put The Word straight forward, then a lot of ministers twist it. Ever attend Bible study and have a preacher shoot you down when you give the literal meaning of a verse? From my experience, most preachers need to go to Hollywood to act. We need genuine leaders in the church.

The problem is that EVERYONE that preaches the word, not just pastors, THINK that their interpretation is the correct interpretation. Im not even sure that what is in the bible today is actually what was originally written. It has been translated so many times by men who think they know what was originally written. How does anyone know 100% what the bible means? The same verse can be interpreted several different ways and thats very confusing. I gave up on trying to read it. I just pray to our Creator to show me the truth.

Jeff , .. I've been in and out of church because I've found alot of twisting and just the pastors saying things that are in the bible and totally not.. I found that a pastor reading straight from the bible as you read along is the best , however I've found myself staying away more and more yet ministering to people on my own as I pray the Lord use me to do so .. the season I grew the most was NOT in church...

A sign at 6:25 reads 'If evolution is true why help the poor' I think that this person has interpreted the phrase 'survival of the fittest' to be a rejection of morality when really moral values are purely a human invention. A person can be charitable without needing an eternal reward or punishment. Understanding what suffering is like is within the capacity of most humans and that can motivate a person to help another human being they see that is suffering. Empathy is not quality only possessed by those with faith.

The earth was literally washed CLEAN. ....at that point...but the saga continues and here we are again, back deep in sin, ALL of us. God promised He would never again destroy the earth by floods and He sent the rainbow as His Symbol of that promise. But fortunately or unfortunately (depending on where we stand with God), this earth will go through more scourges and more death and desolation than the earth or anyone on it has EVER seen before, and it's quite possibly going to happen in our lifetimes; perhaps not, but not too far off. Too many things that have been prophesied in Scripture have already happened for it to be TOO far off...please think about that...
