Honestly if i didnt hear both songs melodies played on a piano or see the sheet music for both songs, i would never of noticed! once you see the sheet music together its unmissable. Love both songs. Not so much the chord progressions. that can happen in a lot of songs - share the exact same chord progression. but a melody! that is unmistakable.

I have to admit, I remember well when "Scrubs" 1st came out, but I still didn't hear the similarities in "Shape Of You" till I heard about the controversy on the news. Now I hear it, but it's not blatant like in some other songs ("Ice Ice Baby"/"Under Pressure", "Thinking Out Loud"/"Let's Get It On" to name a couple).
