Two years late to the party Adrian, but beautiful, minimalist piece. I too, love to use the sap wood in cherry and walnut to blend my glue seams. That top is killer.

Nice video, Adrian. Your desk looks great. The small accents, like the walnut wedges, make it very vivid. It was fun to watch it all in one video. I used to make a cherry wardrobe with a hat shelf. Even with hand tools, it was great fun. Stay healthy. Have a nice weekend.

Holy smokes, it was a nice experience to watch. Great job, you. I must admit, I underestimated the skills and level of joinery you put into this project going in - just from watching the thumbnail. Well, that preconception was definitely put to shame in these fine 10 minutes. You've got yourself a new subscriber. I'm looking forward to watch your vids and get inspiration for my own hand tool woodworking endeavors.

@AdrianPreda

Thanks! If I do it again I would have tried sliding dovetails all the way of those 3 rails then inserted in the top. I was reluctant in doing this from the beginning, wasn't sure I will succeed...next desk :) And this I should have made from the beginning, made the top first, sliding dovetails on the rails then dimension the long rails and back stretcher after these.

Thanks! Surprising for me it did not took that much, or not as much as older ones :) I think also because I had a lot of takes to choose from to build the story more fluid and fast (had 900 videos all build, and used 250 here), and also the music pacing made the editing smooth, it's helping a lot to stick to specific intervals of time.
