I understood Garcelle's point when she was talking about the coronavirus. I don't agree with hiding that you have it but at the same time you don't have to shame someone just because they have tested positive for it

I think it depends. If you know for a fact that the person who got covid was doing things against CDC guidelines and/or being irresponsible saftey-wise, maybe the only way to help them understand the seriousness of this pandemic is to shame them.

i guess that if you get covid and isolate yourself, you don't necessarely need to tell to the world that you have covid. of course you should alert people you have been in contact with
@Lalalalala...
@Lalalalala... 3 жыл бұрын
I don't think you need to tell everyone in the world if you quarantine as soon as you show symptoms or test positive but you NEED to tell people you may have exposed to the virus. I don't think ppl should be shamed for getting sick because even ppl who are being on the safe side could get sick, but you should be shamed if you test positive and lie to people who were exposed to you in that time frame. That means knowingly could prevent other people from getting sick but you choose not to. And going out in public when you know you tested positive is not okay unless it's an emergency and you can't avoid it
@Lalalalala...

I love A, but she had a WHOLE A** party during quarantine. Speaks to the privilege she is experiencing to be able to 1) quarantine for the party without having to go out to work 2) get EVERYONE tested before the party, 3) Have a rapid test for everyone the DAY OF the party and then 4) go ahead and judge other people for not quarantining and 5) Being able to throw a party when so many people can't even pay for basic needs/ resources. I am not saying that people shouldn't disclose when they have COVID, but a lot of the time she does something and then goes on and judges someone for doing the same thing or something similar. I'm a big fan of A, but sometimes she doesn't recognize the privileges she is experiencing.

If you doing what you want “knowing” that you have Covid and someone gets Covid because of you regardless if there are young and old and die from it, that is technically murder. I have a covid story. I lost my dad and my life has changed so much more than the surface shows because. It’s very hard though. Because a lot of people are toxic and will say it’s not real. It’s a hoax. It’s this and that. When I have lived with it personally on so many levels. Imagine seeing all of this stuff everyday. Its all over the news, it’s on social media and what’s everyone is talking about. It’s constant PTSD episodes every other day because it just reminds of the worst moments of my life. I’m willing to talk about it in a good space though. I do feel like I can help so many people. I love y’all and so glad y’all are very pro masks and being safe and sanitary. We need more of this.

I'm not in their position but I agree. Everyone will take this situation differently and some will have a hard time but at the end of the day they are right. This is not a time to analyse the messenger but the message. So what if they're rich and not alone, that's their experience and that doesn't suddenly stop them from having an opinion. Funny thing is, if they didn't speak on it, it would have been a problem or if they speak on their own experience y'all will say they're out of touch. If they showed all the empathy in the world y'all would say they're PC and not real enough. Fact of the matter is, yh things are hard for ppl being alone but it's what has to be done for a while unfortunately

I've struggled to watch Adrienne's harsh opinions about this subject on this show, while also seeing her actions in real life. She is incredibly lucky to be able to quarantine with not just her husband, but her entire extended family as well. And on top of that, she is so privileged to be able to afford and have access to testing in the quantity that she does to be able to throw parties like her sister's birthday and Thanksgiving. Sometimes the anger and judgement she displays in these COVID topics discussed on the show feels a little tone-deaf, when she then goes home to a full house and hosting parties. It's unfair to those who cannot afford those luxuries.
@sen-cher
@sen-cher 3 жыл бұрын
@@Annaaaaaaaaaaaa and they have spoken about that. You can't expect them to pick out and discuss every type of household structure when they talk about this. Yes there are people being abused and living in deplorable conditions that are heightened due to the pandemic but there are people in fairly healthy and even privileged households that still break protocols unnecessarily. There are people that break protocol not for the sake of mental well-being but because they just don't care.

I agree with Adrienne and Jeannie my cousin in laws parents had Covid. She lied to my cousin and checked up on her parents. Now I’m not being heartless but if my parents had Covid I would check to see if they needed anything and leave it on the front porch. Well, dumba$$ went in the house. My cousin in law ended up going home to her husband which is my cousin. She gave Covid to my cousin and my young cousin(there brothers and my young cousins rents a room from them). Thanksgiving comes around the two brothers go to see their mother which is my aunt. My aunt who has done everything by the book because she knows that she suffers from bronchitis and asthma. Now my aunt is really really sick and in the hospital water in her lungs and Covid. I’m sorry it’s selfish!!!! I would never be that irresponsible.

When you come up positive for Covid, you automatically feel like the outsider. I am lucky enough to live with my family but what about those who live alone? The isolation that comes with it is not easy. And NO, it is not just about “getting in the mental state”. It goes much deeper. I don’t agree with lying, but I understand why people would want to just NOT say anything. And if you are going through it, put your mask on from time to time and go outside just to feel the air hit your face cause man, isolation is NO JOKE! Lmaooo Adriennes story had me DEAD. When I was a sophomore in high school I went to a house party and had a few shots. Something about them didn’t sit well and I immediately felt like I was going to puke. Long story short, I ran to the restroom and literally as soon as I opened the door, I projectile vomited all over the bathroom. I’m talking walls, sink, toilet! Girl it was bad 😭😫 I panicked and used the decorative towels (my only lifeline) to wipe it up as best as I could and threw the towels out the window that led to the garage 🤣 Then proceeded to rejoin the party and act like it never happened. No one ever found out. Sorry 😬

I think people don’t understand that some people live alone and if you have Covid and live alone, you still have to get groceries. Maybe you can’t go to work now and I don’t have any money to pay an extra $10 to have your groceries delivered. That’s just the reality so you’ll have to get out and go grocery shopping. You’ll have to get out and go to a restaurant to pick up your food. Not everyone can self isolate for a few weeks.
@xK8T88
@xK8T88 3 жыл бұрын
I recommend people find a friend or family member to drop off groceries, they likely won’t charge you delivery . Otherwise there are alot of people you can find locally to reach out to , and many are personally offering to help those in need. Loni said it well when she said - there is help out here but you have to be resourceful and you might have to go get it. You also can order online and pick up your groceries as well , so it would be helpful to just call and let the store know that you need it left somewhere specific to pickup at their location, or have it brought to your car and left outside your door with no contact . Hopefully this helps! Things will get better.

Adrienne and Jeannie are not reacting to the facts presented. The stats are saying 33% of ppl are lying about it. You ask why. Garcelle pipes in explains why, as a person who had it. You ignore her. The cycle continues. Ppl will still lie bc its stigmatized by those who do not yet have it, even though 99.8 percent of ppl like Garcelle recover. There has to be some sort of empathy towards the experience of those who have it otherwise the numbers of ppl lying will just increase. Also Adrienne having all these parties and being the loudest voice telling ppl to stay home...
