To everyone judging Adrienne's story, many people in the entertainment industry go homeless pursuing this dream. It's not an easy road to take. People just don't understand.
@lylablueabdul55034 жыл бұрын
But she wasn't homeless. She just didn't have a damn car BY CHOICE she still don't have one now and she's rich.
@lylablueabdul55034 жыл бұрын
@Shandaece Alexander I KNOW what you are talking about. But it does not apply to Adrienne. TLC is a good example of famous and broke bcz they were. They were at the Grammys and didn't even have money to buy a sandwich. Mary J Blige was still living in the projects when her first single was played on the radio. I get it, but Adrienne was not that damn poor. She came from a working/middle class family, just like Jlo. I I frm NYC, know the area Adrienne grew up in. She was not broke.

I'm assuming this show caters to people between the ages of 18 and 25 years old. The content reminds you of high school. Women in their 30's and 40's usually have more serious subject matter, politics or grown folk type relationship talk. It sounds like they pic the content on their own and NO professional director.

@taytheetaurus4 жыл бұрын
Emanual Carr That’s the point of this show and what makes them different. Shows like The View & The Talk tend to focus on more political and serious topics. The Real has talked about serious topics such as politics & they talk about relationships all the time, but they always stayed true to the more “relaxed” setting. Yes it’s great & important to talk about more serious things, but too much of it makes the show rather heavy and can get hard to watch for casual viewers. The Real provides more of an escape from what the rest of these shows focus on. I’m sure they have a professional director because this style has definitely got them a bunch of success.

I went to the bathroom put it on (of course hide the tag 🏷) and went upstairs to take the picture😩. Once I was done with the picture, changed my clothes and returned the shirt and get the $36 back. Whew... let's see... Having to wash the same white shirt for school every night because we couldn't afford uniforms and I only had one (live in socal, not washing it was not an option). Sharing ramen with my sister every night for dinner. The nights she would say she was still hungry I would play games or read to her to keep her mind off of it. The next day I would save some of my lunch to bring her. My backpack often smelled like food bc of it and would get bullied for it. But she would be so happy for that apple or half a square pizza slice. Sold my bus pass to buy food for me and my sis - which meant I had to walk 2mi home whether it was 100 degrees or heavy rain the rest of the month. My sis and I once fished coins out of a fountain for a hot dog and bus money. When that government cheese block felt like fancy ass white people cheese bc it would melt like Kraft commercials. 😂 We were BROKE broke.

Being broke was so traumatic for me that I literally avoid remembering...that or my brain doesn’t let me lol I remember coming home and only seeing a gallon of milk in my family’s fridge, I remember not having enough money for the bus ($1.25) at the time, I remember not having shampoo or conditioner sometimes (we would have a dollar soap bar for all 5 of us), I remember crying feeling so helpless and hopeless. It was so hard. I was 17 when my parents lost almost everything. I didn’t even have enough for school supplies. After High School, I gave all my time to Jesus and I stayed in church because my parents were so depressed, they wouldn’t leave their room. If it wasn’t for God, and that community of people there is NO WAY I would’ve survived. They were some of THE MOST painful years of my life, and I’ve gone through a lot, but those 3 years felt like I was never going to get out of it. I’m now 25, and God has opened SO many doors for me. Giving my time to Jesus, although it was looked down upon in my family, is THE BEST DECISION I have EVER made. Now my family is seeing the fruit of my yes to the Lord. It is so beautiful! He writes the best stories!!! I now work for one of the most influential Christian people in the world, who despite his physical challenges, has overcome adversity! I feel so privileged and honored, so blessed and HIGHLY highly favored. Never in a million years did I imagine this life for me. One day I was sitting on the bus, walking miles at a time to get home from church, working 3 jobs and the next day I was sitting in Mar a Lago eating Chocolate cake on a private beach. God knew what He was doing, He’s kept me humble so that when I did come to enjoy these things I would be genuinely grateful and never forget what it was like to be on the other end where the grass was definitely not greener.
@Sexyluv13244 жыл бұрын
The brokest thing I ever been through is when the water, electric and gas was off in my house. No family member would take us in in the middle of winter. I was 13. At the time, the only time I really ate was at school. I'd charge my phone in the library so I could make sure I'd get there on time for breakfast and lunch. We had a kerosene heater that we would light and then my mom and I would hundle into the room and sleep. Going through this made me want to go back to the homeless shelter and I never ever thought I would wish that again. Let God be the glory. Life still isn't great, but it's so much better and I'm forever grateful

We have everything we need bills paid even have 4 year college degrees but teachers don’t get paid enough to thrive. We are barely making enough to pay our bills. I thank God everyday we all go to bed with a roof over our heads, full bellies, and have beds to sleep in, and clean clothes on the morning for daycare & work. When I am short on money I started making something out of nothing. I had some shredded cheese, tortillas, sliced deli ham and tomato paste in my apartment and I made what I call broke pizza. The Dollar Store is my best friend. And you learn to like bargain brand things. I too have a scar on my arm from a burn. I live in a studio apartment with a very small kitchen and I stumbled backward pulling my tray out of my oven and it got my bicep. I wouldn't cover up that scar either, I know when I'm done with school that I will be able to upgrade my life from what it is now and be able to live comfortably.

iMolika Men-Thlang girl imagine this... when I was 12, we were so broke my mom made me go to the store to buy a gallon of milk with all pennies. It was loose not in the rolls. The guy was so frustrated he just let me go. When I got home my mom was cracking up lmao
