Thanks! I was always too lazy to look up the difference between ad- and ab- sorption. Now, though in my later years, I know. And it’s fun to know. As I watched the video it brought to mind iron ore extraction (Bessemer?) and the the working of the lungs. Very good. Thanks again.

at 4:07 where we wrote up that the 'rate of adsorption' = 'rate of desorption', shouldn't the units match? I mean on the right side there is a concentration with unit of [mol/l].

MopTopRock While it is a similar idea, keep the units in mind. qB is (mol of B adsorbed)/(kg of solid).
