I also had to get two baby teeth extracted and got braces. My ortho asked me to get the braces on first thing in the morning. Then a couple of hours later I got the 2 canines top teeth removed. The process wasnt as bad as I thought. I am also very careful with diet changes, and catch myself going well I cant eat this I cant eat that.

Whats the reason u got extractions?? I have a protrusion and i thought i was going to get extraction but my orthodontist suggested to not extract any teeth becuz i have a wide jaw and already got 4 wisdom teeth removed months ago

If your jaw has enough space, then you wouldn't need to extract any tooth. But for most adult braces wearers, the jaw has aready fully developed and there simply isn't enough space to accomodate all the teeth :)

Yep, like Evelyn said, my mouth pretty much was running out of run to have all the teeth. And since two of my teeth had already been removed when i was younger (due to the same issue) I had to remove the 2 bottom ones.

Do you like your smile and side profile f After getting the extractions and braces ? I am so scared to get extractions cause I read everywhere it ruins your side profile and facial features :/ I just want a straight pretty smile ugh

I know I heard the same thing my girl is 11 and she needs it. I’m in the fence she is so beautiful I don’t need it impacting her face.

@@lindsayjohnson4163 Palatal expansion is the better option and practice good oral posture and she needs to breather through her nose. She is still very young, dont ruin her face.
