Thank you, please continue these videos. I’m glad you said that about not necessarily jumping to a sponsor. That’s the last thing I want! I want and need to take things at my pace. I read a few pages of the Red Book every day because I have so little time to read. I go to an in person Al Anon once a week, but ACA is my real “church”. I don’t feel the need to vent to friends who didn’t grow up the way I did because I now have my own group who DOES understand why my mother being in hospice is not very upsetting to me. I finally have hope.

This was SO helpful! I definitely got overwhelmed with all the stuff in ACA and dropped it all as fast as I accumulated it. I feel so much better about going back in the small bites you outlined. I wish you were licensed in my state because I really dig your style and feel like talking with you would be very easy. I'm very reluctant about seeing out a therapist because the whole process of finding someone who fits seems so daunting. Wish they ALL had KZbin channels. lol

Keep it simple! Most therapists offer a free 15 minute virtual interview to see if there is a match. Hopefully you can find the guidance you seek.

Thank you so much for your videos Ken! Just discovered ACA after over a decade of all the therapies, rehab and 2 years in Emotions Anonymous. Finally I feel like I’m not alone and I’ve found what I need 🙏🙏🌻

Thanks Ken, this is very helpful as are all of your recovery videos. I'm coming back to ACA after being away for a few years and hitting a bad emotional bottom. I have been to 5 meetings and have some hope again. Thank you for your offerings. They help a lot!

This was so helpful. I’ve come from another fellowship and I’m panicking because I have a sponsee and I don’t want to let her down if I am to start ACA- I wouldn’t feel I was doing her the best service as a sponsor if I was more comfortable in ACA than NA. Now writing this I’m wondering how healthy my thoughts are here but wanted to get them out my head!

Thanks for expressing this! Sponsors are to guide us, not hold us back. We also do not need to take care of our sponsors. Their role is to support us. Growth comes when we open communication and start discussing our needs! 🎈🎈🎈 Best wishes in your journey!

Camp where? I watched the whole thing. I see a single house and one picnic table behind you and absolutely nothing else. I don't think I've been anywhere in years that there are no other people. Wow. So are we giving up on one on one sponsorship in favor of group blind leading the blind gatherings? Doesn't sound prudent to me. I don't know what I don't know you know.
