Great haul ! Oh every time I get my polys out I have to get my nose right don’t there and sniff them ! It’s honestly my favorite smell ❤ I have had them almost 2 years and they still smell wonderful 😂

Thank you! And thanks for the tip with those. I am slowly getting used to them and keeping that in mind definitely makes a huge difference! I can tell once I get really comfortable with them, they are going to be a favorite. Beautiful pencils 😁

Your 3 Cheshire printed and Gundran Hall books all are pretty clearly AI, which as you say is your choice. Thanks for sharing

I had a feeling once I got to looking at them 😐. Definitely not thrilled to support that and going forward I am going to do more research to prioritize supporting human created art as much as possible because I do think that's important and I value those coloring books in my collection so much more! Thanks for the input and for watching!!

There absolutely are several different types/grades of Amazon paper an illustrator can pick from(four the last time I looked into it). Many, possibly most, illustrators go with the standard “copy paper feel” paper, but there are cheaper grades like the ones Art of Colour is printed on. I actually kind of like the Art of Colour paper grade-it’s smooth and does well with markers imho. Edit: you should be able to use an electric eraser and erase most of the pencil in your Daria Song book-it doesn’t look like it’s colored that hard.

Wow, four different types! Thanks for the info!! I didn't realize there were that many that Amazon uses. And thanks for the tip for the Daria Song book! If I can't incorporate what's already there into my coloring style, I may just try that.

Now that you have had more time to use the polys, do you recommend them? I have a lot of pencil sets, but not those. Are they worth it?
@mykellerfulworld2 ай бұрын
I do really like the set. The color variety is wonderful and they are beautiful pencils to work with. I feel the quality in them and think they are worth their higher price point. And I like that they work differently than many of my other sets. You really have to layer them to get a nice blend whereas most of my sets can be smudged or burnished together to blend. So I have enjoyed learning to work with the Polys and how to get nice blends from them. And they really lay down beautiful in books with nicer paper too!!
