god i never did think john oates ever soloed with his guitar until i saw this performance with to great solos of john at the end of adult education and downtown life. it is good to see him soloing instead of some other guitarist whos not in the band like G.E. Smith or Pat Buchanan who are very good guitarists

This is how you get world class rep. Tom T Bone Burnett's playing on this is ridiculous. Never gets in the way but plays something beyond perfect.

THE 80S WERE AWESOME! GLAD TO HAVE GREW UP IN THAT DECADE. If you miss the 80s check out the book TEEN PREACHER on AMAZON. it is a real high school 80s flashback with music in the scenes. I guess I miss those days too and daryl hall and John oates is a flag band of that era!!!

Looks like they were way more pumped up in '85. Daryl just says "fuck it" at the end and Oates has to go rush off stage to see what the deal is. Oh well can you play the same song every show for 3 whole years? The rest of the band killed it tho so tight.

he looks like he is coked out and high as fuck...couldn't wait to get iff stage and freak out somewhere. ..lol

That is how they ended the first segment of all their shows back then with AE and then they would come back and do 4-6 more songs. The whole point is to showcase the band jamming at the end without the focus being on D&J
@jackkim91038 ай бұрын
What a weird ending. Daryl Hall just walks off and John Oates is like wtf and stops playing lead guitar and follows him out for no good reason other than he is Hall and Oates, and the rest of the band, who are excellent, play for a few seconds like they own the show.
